Why do you like Enclave?

Not begging the question. I really want to know, why do you like the actual Enclave. I like the Remnants since they're all boss, even Cannibal Johnson, even if he supports NCR. But why the actual Enclave?

I hate to be that guy, but perhaps it would be best to head to the thread in the Fallout universe section which also asked that question?

To sum up:

1) The Enclave is the legitimate successor to the US government, in fact it is the US government.
2) The Enclave is more advanced than all others combined.
3) The Enclave's plans are foolproof, ruined only by crappy writing.
4) The Enclave actually knows what it is doing, and should they succeed they actually Succeed with a capital S.

Actually, they're not. They're a paramilitary organisation with members who happened to have ties to the US Government. It'd be like the BoS is THE US Army since their origins are tied to the US Army.

All evidence and dialogue suggests that the Enclave is either the actual US government or a presidentially authorized shadow government, thus they are legal. Their claim over the mainland may be subjective but they are the most direct successor to the US government you can find. The chain of command ends in them.

Maxon defected from the US army before the war and thus we can't say what became the Brotherhood is a part of the once-was US army. Had they stuck to the US army and maintained its traditions they could be called "the US army" or at least a part of it. The Enclave, on the other hand, definitely existed in pre-war America, controlled Poseidon Oil, had considerable state funding and maintained US governmental structure and its traditions.

The Enclave became the Government after the Great War. So yeah technically they are the government but they weren't the pre-war government. Some members of the Enclave were in the pre-war government and after the Great War those members uses the COG (continuity of government) to form the new administraction.

There are theories as to what the Enclave was before the Great War. The main one is that they were a pre-war cabal of every powerful people that used the Great War to take over the American government. The other theory that is new, is that the Enclave just sort of happened after the Great War.

But anyways as it has already pointed out we have a topic about this in the Universe section, and the Enclave aren't even in Fallout New Vegas. They are just old remnants.

Seeing as we already have an active topic for this here: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1314242-why-do-you-like-the-enclave/page__st__150, I think this one can be closed.
