Replace Existing Objects with Another?

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 9:08 pm

Hello all,

I'm making some changes to a mod I released several years ago. while i remember most of the basic CS functions, I can't seem to remember how I used to do this. What is the method to replace one object with another while maintaining the same placement? (for example, replacing one tapestry, rug or bed with another)? Thanks :)

Assuming the objects are the same size/orientation, here's what I do. First drop your new object somewhere in the cell. Then double click on both the new one and the old one, so you have two property windows open. Then just copy/paste the numbers for position, rotation and scale from the old to the new. Once your new one's in place, raise the number on the old one's z-axis some so you can select and delete it.

nvm, abot's more smarter...
