How do I remove creatures from an exterior cell?

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 12:30 pm

I've been making an ashlander home, and a large amount of the abode is exposed to the elements. Unfortunately, when I tried to remove the creatures that live nearby to prevent wild animal attacks, although it told me they had been deleted in the Construction Set, when I tested the mod in game they were still there. Is there any reason for this? and what should I do?

Thanks for any help.

Assuming you're testing with a clean save, the leveled list has a reference in your save game. Once that one is dealt with, the creature(s) will not respawn.

I hate being a noob, but how would I go about doing that? I've only messed about with adding things, I've never done anything like that :S

I probably didn't explain this too well...

If you're deleting a leveled creature placeholder (those ninja monkey looking things), and still experience a spawn from the list, then this is the game engine doing it's job. That particular spawn is a reference in your current save file. Once that spawn is killed, nothing else will be generated as the placeholder itself no longer exists. If I remember correctly, a new game with the esp enabled will not suffer this initial setback.

Also, there may be utilities such as Enchanted Editor that could clean your save if you find that one remaining reference troublesome.
