Can anyone point me to where I can download the Construction Set for Morrowind? I lost my disks and am now playing through Steam and was so disappointed that it didn't come with the download :(

It's not available for download. You'll have to buy the disk version for it, or you could try the http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=other.detail&id=52.

@Miles As much as I appreciated your reply, I can't help but be STUNNED!!!!! What's going on here. The "Game of the Year" edition I purchased with discs had the Construction Set. Then when I needed a new copy, I purchased the Steam version. There was never any notice that the Construction Set was not going to be included. WHY NOT????? and WHY isn't it available for download. This is really outrageous! Obviously it isn't because it doesn't work. Modders are still writing new stuff for Morrowind. What's the big secret?

Comeon Bethesda.....give me a REASONABLE response. NOT just well that's the way it is. You really can't treat your customers like this. First....I go out and purchase Skyrim at the store.....it has a reference to Microsoft's version of Steam. But there's NO hint of Steam until you get to the microscopically small print. You owe your loyal customers more that this. :swear:

It's a good question, unfortunately I don't think there has ever been an official statement as to why. Perhaps it's just the fact (speculation) that by the time the game was available for steam distribution, the editor no longer existed in it's original form (being redesigned for future titles) with Bethesda.

Bethesda has always been a little weird when it comes to supporting and maintaining peripheral assets (dlc, their editors, etc.). This is the same company that can release a major title through steam, setup a modding "workshop" with the same, yet still not have Oblivion's dlc available on their own web store. Strange, yes?

If Bethesda has no interest in supporting past titles, then I say hand over the game editors to the community. I afraid that we could lose the next generation of modders, and all the goodies that they can create.

You could try and PM Gstaff or customer support with Bethesda, but I doubt it will get very far.
