I'm having a bit of a problem runing the Steam GOTY version of Morrowind. After whatshisname gives me my class and tells me to take my papers, the staus screen is stuck on the screen. Using the menu button doesn't seem to clear it, and it's stuck just above the crosshairs. It's semitransparent so it's not exactly game-breaking, but it's annoying.

If it can't be removed how would I go about moving it to a corner?

Make sure you don't have a little checbox checked in the upper-right corner of the particular window. Having it selected makes the window stay even when the inventory is closed.
