Mod Detectives XXIII

I have a question. Ghostnull's Glowing Daedric Weapons is the same as his Daedric Weapon Enhancer, right?

Much appreciated,
Eno

Thank you for making a vendor. If I might make a request...name her Leiawen. She should be female, Breton, dark hair.

Sure thing, thank YOU! She is an altmer named Leia, I'll change it ASAP. Lol, best I could do in case I wasn't able to contact you.

I'll see what I can dig up. I'll keep filenames the same so you don't have to fiddle with things too much.

And moments like this are why I'm modding in the first place.

A happy ending to this episode of "Mod Detectives!" if I ever saw one. ;)

I'm granting permission for usage of Leia's Dual Wield. I did stop updating it after 0.3 (I actually did a custom additional version for someone a year later with a couple of extra recolored glass weapons, unsure if the version you have includes those) as I pretty much exited the Morrowind modding community since I was busy relocating to another continent.

Since I'm a packrat with plenty of storage I have all the original mod files as well as the source files (3ds Max, Photoshop, etc.) so I'd be happy to do some work repackaging a better version for you. I think I also may have some higher resolution textures that I downsampled too.

Thanks for tracking me down; its funny how I still get email from time to time regarding my old Morrowind mods. Those early days using the Freedom Force NIF exporter before any official tools even existed were amazing; getting our own meshes into the game was so satisfying.

Edit: Because yeah, that @yahoo.com address was still good.

Well I can't see what this has to do with the Mod Detective thread, but to answer your question just compare the information of these two and make your self an opinion.

Thanks. I used the wayback machine. So, does anyone know where to find Glowing Daedric Weapons? I cant seem to find it anywhere. I remember there used to be a reflect & no reflect version, to avoid problems with the enchantment glow.

EDIT: I've managed to find Glowing Daedric Armor here - http://www.gamefront.com/files/7009636/Glowing_Daedric_Armor_v1_0. Would be great if we could dig up version 2.0 somewhere as I remember there was one

Awesome. Signed up. :)
I see you have two of my mods there. (using the search link you provided) One of the others that seemed pretty popular at the time was my Wizard's Hat mod. Were you interested in putting that up there also?

Your entry for the Pretty Faces Project has my username (and real name incidentally) just right; you should replicate that on the entry for Leia's Dual Wield also. :)

Yes I know because I notice that you're a member now. So welcome to GHF.

I wish I could because right now I don't have access to the Dual Wield mod and what cause it is beyond me. You can try to edit the mods and if you can't do that then send Fliggerty a PM with a link to my post here.

EDIT: I've changed the ownership for the http://mw.modhistory.com/download-42-3298 to you.

The trick is to get the right name for the file. I looked up Glowing Daedric Weapons in the Wayback Machine and saw that GhostNull originally called this mod Deadric Weapon Enhancer. You can find it in several places under that name, but here's a link to ElricM's site: http://www.elricm.com/nuke/html/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=viewdownloaddetails&lid=1438

And here is the non reflect version - http://web.archive.org/web/20071018091318/http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=4927, and its screenshot here - http://liveweb.archive.org/http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/fms/Image.php?id=34667. The second version is for people not using No-Glo, but I'd say it's also awesome, seeing how it provides a greater contrast between red and black.

@ Leiawen, the title and author fields of your dual wield mod have been fixed on MMH and you now have ownership. Yes, we would very much like to have your Wizard Hat mod as well.

@ Jusey1, thank you, but I've been here all along.

@ Eno, thanks for the links. I'm going to save those screenshots for archiving at MMH with the mods.

I just look in the Installers folder on my HDD and found the Wizard Hats mod, but I'm not sure if it was yours because the author is Daduke. Are they the same or was it someone else who also release the Wizard Hats mod?

That's...interesting! I just looked up the file on Google and there is a single image on Planet Elder Scrolls of Daduke's mod. It looks incredibly similar to my meshes with the runes around the brim, etc. I think it may actually be a recolor of my work. I'm at work so I can't download the mod; do you know if there is a Readme at all?

I may have to pull my original files and double check but I'm 95% confident that is a recolor. One reason I'm convinced is that the font on the brim text seems to be Alphabet of the Maji, which is the font I used for both my Wizard Hat as well as the glowing runes on my Dual Wield weapons...

Edit: I did a search for Daduke in my Yahoo email...I have one message, which was autogenerated by the Bethesda Forums back in Jan 2003 where a user replied to one of my Morrowind posts and was talking about making a matching set of robes to go with my Wizards Hat. That user also mentioned that he liked Daduke's recolor, especially the white version.

I VAGUELY remember this conversation...So...I'm going to say that Daduke's mod is likely an expanded version of my original. Which is fine, because who doesn't like more colors?

Yes they are a recolour! I have been looking for your hats a very long time. The only version of the hats I can find are the origonal 4 that you did which are contained in Korana's Magus Realm mod. If you could re-release them as a mod that would be brill! I nabbed them way back in the day when you released them but I have since lost the files.

BTW welcome back :)

Its dadukes. The reason I wanted to see the readme was that I wanted to know if daduke cited my original mod as the basis for his...and he did, even though he spelled my name incorrectly:

Verison 1.0
* wizard hat mesh was orginally created by Lieawen
Couldn't have done it without his work.
* all other models (head and peg stand created by me)

Thanks for posting it up here.

Another mystery solved! Please upload your original Wizard Hat mod to MMH when you have the chance Leiawen. Or upload it anywhere and one of us will archive it there. I have also used your Wizard Hats over the years but also from within the mods of others. Shows how bad we all are about reading the credits! :P

Quick question. Can/had someone put LadyE's tentacle creatures into the game? I don't have the time to mess around with that so I kinda am hoping that someone may do it?
