Alters in Chapels

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 4:29 am

I mean the small ones agaginst the walls. I've seen characters recieve blessings from them, but I get a message telling me to visit the wayshrines to recieve my blessing. Is there a cheat of the location of these anywhere?

If you have visited a wayshrine for, say, Mara for example, then when you touch the small altar to Mara in any chapel you will get her blessing. Here is a nice map that shows the locations of all the wayshrines - note that although there is more than one wayshrine for each of the Divines, you only need visit one for each you with to enable chapel altar blessings for. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:Wayshrines_idiosyncrat.jpg

Is this a plug-in or part of the original game?

Even the extra "Pilgrims Grace" Power for visiting all the Nine's shrines is part of the base game. The KotN add-on makes that pilgrimage into something more, but it didn't introduce it.

Awesome! Thank you! I'm new to this forum, but I assume "vanilla" refers to the basic game? :)

A warm welcome to the wonderful world of Oblivion! :icecream: And yes, 'vanilla' means the basic game. Whether the term includes the official DLC (downloadable content) I suppose could be debated, but generally by non-vanilla game we are referring to PC players using mods.

That′s what I′ve thought and also why I got confused when people said KotN introduced it.

I'm new to this forum

I like the fishy stick! LOL Yes I'm new to oblivion, but I played Morrowind with 8 characters all the way through, side guests and all! iI have a note book FULL of cheats that I got from the site and great peeps like you all :) I never played ANY game until I watched my advlt son play Morrowind and then I was hooked. Still don't play anything other than the Elder Scrolls. (Not real impressed with Skyrym so far ) :( Don't like the format and the wording is too small, hard to see (don't have HD TV) Anyway, LOL, had to go right out and get the Expansion? Anniversary? edition with Solthseim and Mornhold. I think that's still my fav. Thank you to all who have answered my posts. I can tell already this is a great community!

Just don't expect to get one from M'aiq the Liar. He'll tell you "M'aiq wishes he had a stick made out of fishies to give to you. Sadly, he does not." - really!
