Leveled deer?

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 7:11 am

Hi, my character is first level and I haven't played the game before (yes, I am slow)

I am trying to figure out a use for venison. It weighs so much! I realize that it can be used for restore health potions, but even those potions weigh a lot. Okay, I have heard that once my alchemy skills get good, I can use venison to make restore health potions which only weigh 0.1..... but I am likely to be an advanced level by then.

So do deer level with you? Will I have to fight level 10 deer to get venison when I am level 10?

No, deer are not leveled. The bucks are a tiny bit sturdier than the does, but they do not level.

I think you will enjoy reading this tip on influencing the weights of potion/poisons: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Alchemy#Weight

Venison weighs too much. It looks great when I put it on select plates at my home's dining room table though :bunny: . It might be the only restore health you might find for a bit in terms of ingredients, but just hold on! and you will find lower-weight ingredients that do the same thing. Cairn Bolete (sp?) is a great replacement for venison, as it only weighs .1 pound per. Those are the small, white, roundish mushrooms that grow underground in caves.
