Empty bottles, are they of any use?

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 1:32 am

I can't remember if this is a New Vegas thing or it's used in Fallout 3 as well. I see lots of empty Nuka Cola bottles. Can I fill them up later or they just useless junk?

Also what useless junk can be usefull?

Scrap metal is important in fallout 3. It, and tin cans and what not is important in dealing with contreras in New Vegas. Also, coffee cups are good to have for new Vegas hehehe Old World Blues

You can use it as Rock-it Launcher ammo.

To bad it couldn't be used for making Yellow Nuka-Cola :deal:

I put empty bottles and bent tin cans in crates outside my Megaton home every Wednesday.

About the only useful junk in Fallout 3 is scrap metal, the items you can use to craft weapons at the workbenches, and anything that has a decent caps-to-weight ratio. The empty bottles don't fit into any of those categories.

I'm sure there are plenty of mods that make them useful, though. FWE, for one, lets you use them to bottle water (IIRC).

In post-apocalyptic USA, the waste management is still important. Despite everything else being destroyed and/or radioactive with Super Mutants and Raiders roaming about, killing everyone in their path

I use those big, empty gallon barrels to jump up onto to get to some higher places sometimes.
