Hello guys, I'm completely new to the Fallout forums. Originally, the only reason that I used to come to this site for, was to visit the Elder Scrolls section of the forums. I used to be love Fallout so much back then. Not to sound like a "hipster" or anything, but I used to play Fallout and Fallout 2 back when Fallout 3 was like Skyrim. I've noticed a trend in all of the games of the series though, that Intelligence is usually a very powerful stat in the games. Anyways, enough about me, show me what builds you have. You can share multiple builds anytime you want, so whenever you're posting, don't feel afraid and go,"Oh, I think that I might've posted too much". Post as much as you want, as long as it's a build. To be fully honest with you guys, I'm particularly interested in "Jack-of-all-trades" and "Sniper" builds, but as I've said time and time again, post any kind of build that you like. Okay now guys, post away!

Energy weapons, laser and plasma all the way. A character who will slaughter the brotherhood of steel for fun in the name of the Enclave.

Depends on the character. My build doesn't matter so much as the limitations that I place on the character, which I do with the hardcoe Thread located in my sig. Though on the other hand, I have a lot of fun with Big Guns characters.

What would be a really powerful(or perfect, if you're that confident) jack-of-all-trades character build? I want a character that's good at everything, but masterful at nothing. This would allow for much more interesting gameplay, because a character would then be able to adapt to change quite easily and will become flexible to allow change whenever the need arises. As well, it also increases the sheer power of the character, due to the many things that he can do and allows for the character to be played throughout the entire game, instead of just constantly making a multitude of characters. That's just my opinion though, so let's see what your take on a jack-of-all-trades build.

The most useful special's imo are " Perception , Intellegence,Luck," meaning atleast 7+. Then Endurance and Agility being second importance at atleast 6. The rest are fine to be 4 or lower unless there is a perk you want dependent on one of them. Then keep it at 4.

For Tag skills , The most usefull all around would be imo "Small guns, Lockpick,Sneak" with "Repair a close second" Then Explosives,Big guns, Science.

Atleast in my Idea of being a Jack of all trades with sniper tendencies towards battle tactics. Wich is how I most often play.

Well, with only 3 skills to tag and maybe a 4th one if you get the perk, what can one say really is the best build?
So far, my builds have been centered around sneak and repair. First round was energy weapons, but second time through was small guns due to more punch. I also heavily invest skill points into lockpick and science.
For specials, perception, intelligence and agility.

Lol, what about S.P.E.C.I.A.L? And perks? And opinions? The list goes on and on......

On the whole, my SPECIAL is never special. About average, with Endurance usually set to either 3 or 4.
No perks that add points to your skills, ever.
No perks that make you too powerful, Grim Reaper's Sprint is a game-breaker for example. as well as Better Criticals, Finesse, etc.

STRENGTH:5 PERCEPTION:6 ENDURANCE:5 CHARISMA:4 INTELLIGENCE:9 AGILITY:5 LUCK:5. These are going to be my starting stats. I've played the game lots before, with many other different characters, so I'm quite familiar with the game, but I've never really finished it. I'm just tired of creating a character and going,"Aw man, why can't my character do that?", everytime I play with a certain character. That's why I want a balanced character build. Also, I'll tag Small guns, Lockpick and Repair. Any critiscm on how I could improve my build would be nice.

I prefer to have my characters be very specialized, so that I am forced to play the game again. Why experience everything with one character? I should fail at some things.... I should be very good at my tag skills, and not much else.
If you have a build though, I would be happy to throw down with my observations  , it's just that I find more enjoyable gaming in NOT being a jack of all trades. I should fail horribly at some things, and pay the price for me screwing up.

I usually have unarmed or melee characters. Unarmed is my favourite style.
So they are hard punching/hitting, and high intelligence and charming.
They all start with most in the relevant combat SPECIALs, and at least 6 in intelligence and charisma, and high agility.
They always can use explosives.

I once made a punchy pyro. She specialised in unarmed and flamethrowers etc and explosives.

I have a recent character with 'jack-of-all-trades'' style, i have my strength at 7 my luck at 7 and the rest on intelligence and i have lots of flexibility but i have collected the strength bobblehead, and used the perk to add 1 more to special on my strength. This way i get to carry more due to the strength being so high and intelligence is a good way to play the game and it gives many speech options.

I think it would be better to keep them all equal but as it is an RPG when i play i usually make my character like me as that is the way i like to play rpg games, so it feels more... real! :)
