I usually ride solo, but Charon and Jericho are my side-kicks when I do use companions.

I always have Dogmeat with me if I'm a good karma character. Sometimes Fawkes, but he tends to get in my way too much. If I'm a bad karma character, I usually travel solo.

I never really had a problem with Fawkes, the only "problem" that I had is when I wake up Fawkes is always on top of the bed that I just slept in...freaking perv.
