Hey guys,

I've had a good look around, but havn't found similar threds..... Anyway, see if you can help!

I'm running F3 with Broken Steel, latest patch etc.....


I've played my character for a while now, level 22-23. I'm just starting the mission in Arlington Library.
I entered, spoke to the Brotherhood, got access to the front computer etc. I realised that I was loaded up with kit, so before cleaning out the library, I thought
I would pop back to Megaton to sell some stuff to make room. Now.... I've quick saved in the library, fine! Exit the library, fine! Fast travel to megaton, appear inside,
but as soon as I attempt another save, either quick, main save or auto, it CTD's! Grrrrrrrr!

I've tried a number of things suggested, but to no avail!

Things I've tried.

1) Deleting auto save files and making new ones. - Failed.
2) turn off auto save. - Failed.
3) Running to megaton, and try entering through gate instead fast travel. - Failed.
4) Fast travel to Rivet city instead. - Failed. (Does just the same as going to Megaton).
5) Shake fists furiously at computer screen. - Failed.
6) Numerous variety of saving/waiting/resting/sleeping attempts. - Failed
7) Looked for Sheriff Simms in megaton (as apparently he can cause issues) Found him, spoke to him, rested etc? - Failed.
8) Walked away from PC and made cup of tea.- Success! But only in making a good cuppa!


I've played F3 loads of times now, with the same mod's, and never encountered anying like this before? What's wrong?

Anybody got any idea's how to fix this?

Only thing left to think off is back tracking to an older save game and continuing from there again.
Don't want to do that if I can because I want to know what has gone wrong. And if it can be fixed.
