Ladders!

Post » Fri Nov 20, 2009 6:43 pm

Ladders have definitely made themselves scarce ever since Lord Sheogorath declared all-out war on them back in the year 112, Second Era. Pockets of resistance have occasionally risen up from time to time, but, for the most part, the Mad God's genocide has been widely hailed as a resounding success.

It remains to be seen whether or not the new Prince of Madness will continue the long campaign against ladders, both small and large, but if he's smart, he most definitely will. Ladders are devious and crafty, even at the best of times. Honestly, an implement that goes both up and down at the same time? This is true madness!

So the first thing we did after completing Shivering Isles was to wage war on ladders?

SWEET!

I think levitation adds more gameplay than ladders.

I accept this reasoning. And wish it was small enough to fit in my signature

It wouldn't matter to me if we had ladders. I would rather have levitation though.

Everyone, please agree with this.

I don't think ladders but I definitely think climbing. Notice how many spells had ways of getting the same result in more um... physical ways (hopefully you'll understand what I mean by that). Like how you had lockpicking and open spells, armour and shield spell etc. Maybe they should bring back levitation and implement a climb skill for the not as magically inclined character, or have the characters acrobatics or something related to how well they can climb.

Really actually I just want to snipe someone from on top of a tree :)

The Iliac Bay must have escaped his notice.

There was an oblivion mod that added usable portable ladders....as long as they help the game...why not.

Nah, I always find ladders to be annoying in games. Most times it's not that smooth, and just generally annoying.

Ladders became extinct when Tomb Raider came out.

i personally would rather have a whole climbing system including ladders, ropes, grappling hooks, vines, stone walls, climbing skill, even a whole climbing kit....than levitation. ive never used levitation much in MW and didnt even really notice it was gone in OB.

but...i wouldnt complain about levitation either. as long as i can reach those hard to get to places, im happy.
