Aventius Umbranox.

Apparently their leader is at the inn.

"Thanks. I'll go check the inn then." As I head into the inn, I shouted.

"May I have the Attention of Pohlmann! Captain Pohlmann!"

Cassamir
"Ahh, never mind the hallucinations, I'm afraid I must depart, when you are healed please come to Bruma, I'm afraid we need to discuss somethings..."
He then left heading for the Council Chamber to see who remained, no one besides the leader of the West Weald
This man has the territory we need to secure our borders, I should probably not speak to him, perhaps I should leave...
He saw all of Boethiah's Hand gather back to him
'Are you ready sire'
"Yes... we can leave this place."
He then got his black horse and left towards Bruma with his guards following behind him on their horses.
What does Boethiah have in store for Vex, Boethiah has never turned down a sacrifice. She has plans of her own.
He left and noticed Orvas following behind him
"When did you get here...?"
Orvas spoke after a yawn
"I saw you leaving and followed behind you..."
"Well that settles that..."

Waye Inn, Falco Pohlmann.

Falco turned round to the sound of his name, casting a frown at the Imperial who stood across from him. "Well you've got it now." he said bluntly, getting up from his seat and approached the stranger "What can i do for you, friend?"

Aventius Umbranox.

The man came to me. "I am King Umbranox of Anvil. And I am in need of mercenaires for an upcoming invasion that I will share details later. My army may be ready to defeat the country I am invading but I would like the extra men. Any questions? If not then meet me in Anvil if you accept the job."

Falco Pohlmann.

Falco nodded at the Imperial "Short and sweet, i like that though an important question still remains. I trust a man of your house can pay well, but how well?" He smirked alittle in his reply. "My men and i are some of the best skirmishers you're likely to find in what remains of these lands."

The man wanted to know how well he can pay. However I should make a convincing price yet don't make him having me increase it.

"The price I'm willing to give you is about 6,000 drakes. Do you accept?"

Falco Pohlmann.

He gave the Imperial a glare before bowing his head slightly "Sounds a fair price, My leige." Falco knew he needed the work, else he might have tried to haggle upto seven thousand. "It'll take us the larger part of the week to reach Anvil, we've only a couple wagons within our company. I trust we'll be paid upon arrival in your lands, or must we die before we're permitted our pay?" scoffed Pohlmann in a joking manner.

Luckily, the merc accepted the deal.

"I will pay for the travel. And don't worry, if you die I'll make sure you get payed in the afterlife. Now I think we're done with this unless there are still more things you want to ask. I'll be on my way to Anvil. Meet me at the Castle within the City."

Vex Bincal, House of Bincal, Green Emperor's Way; Engaging: Archduke Rislau
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Vex Bincal stood in shock as King Cassamir of Boethiah's Legion said his farewell and walked away. Boethiah? Interested in me? The very suggestion of it unnerved her. She immediately remembered Maximus' own words of wisdom; "It is best," he had said, "to avoid them altogether. Don't give them reason to even notice you. 'Cause you will ne'er see the ends of hell, whether they like you or loathe you, it'll end the same."

As she let her bodyguards lift her to their shoulders again, she wondered if Cassamir knew where the road of the princes went. Maximus certainly would have thought him a fool for even trying to stay in the Daedroth's good graces. Perhaps it was best to remain wary for now. Perhaps if she just retained a low profile, the Prince would lose interest. But it was a vain thought. She couldn't lay low, not now, not with Andre Motierre's name disgraced at the council with the major lords. She would have to move against him soon.

"Malk, Jod, lets approach the Arch-Count before we go pay a follow-up visit to the old Empire." she said.

As her guards began moving, and as her thoughts remained on Andre Motierre, she began to regret not taking advantage of Cassamir's offer of assassination. It would have made things easier, at least for the short term. As Bincal knew, Andre Motierre was far from the "blithering idiot" she had portrayed him as during the diplomatic council. With Cheydinhal under his command, he was the most powerful warlord in the entire county, with 130 or so men under his command, twice the number of Bincal's own available forces. He had enough strength, and the requisite military skill, to make up for his blunders as a politician. If she couldn't receive any military aid, her momentum against him would most likely lose all its steam (here she silently cursed Cassamir for leading her on).

No, it was the right thing to do. Vex Bincal reassured herself. Striking him down via assassination might have temporarily won her the city, but, even with Bruma and Leyawiin approving of the legitimacy of her regime there, she would still lack the necessary support from the local Cheydinhal families themselves, and Vex would have probably been thrown out of the city within a month of her arrival. No, she needed to prove her worth over Motierre's. She needed to make an example of him. And she had just the thing in mind.

"Greetings, Arch-Count Rislau. I'm afraid we haven't been properly introduced. You supported my blocking of the "Akaviri solution" by Umbranox, remember. I was hoping that we'd be able to build good relations and that you'd be able to recognize me as the legitimate ruler of Cheydinhal."

Arch-Duke Rislau. Addressing Vex

Greetings, Arch-Count Rislau. I'm afraid we haven't been properly introduced. You supported my blocking of the "Akaviri solution" by Umbranox, remember. I was hoping that we'd be able to build good relations and that you'd be able to recognize me as the legitimate ruler of Cheydinhal." So the real politics begin after the meeting has finished.

"It would seem that our introduction was overlooked in the chaos of, well, whatever that just was." Truly to Rislau it seemed that they had been brought together so that those present could flaunt their strength before leaving to their respective holdings to begin their war preparation.Tell her what she wants the hear, war is coming, the Niben cannot stand alone, not just yet anyway. "And what a shame to miss out on a proper introduction to a woman like yourself, it's not often I meet one of your six who can wield a sword and still maintain such a lovely appearance." I think I'm starting to understand this diplomacy thing. Technically the 'lovely appearance' bit was an exaggeration, Vex wasn't Rislau's normal type but she did have an air of confidence that he found compelling.

"As for your claim to Cheydinhal, you can have it for all I care," a second exaggeration, he did care about Cheydinhal but he had no plans to attack for at least another year, his conquest would drive him west first to sweep up Anvil and Kvatch in the Eight's glory. From Sutch and the Hammerfellian border up to Bruma and the fringes of Skyrim would be united under one banner, his. "I trust that if any of our friends here were to get out of hand you would lend me the strength of your forces to, remind them of their correct stations?"

Cassamir, Bruma's Palace, Interaction: His allies

Dear Allies of Boethiah's Legion,

We need to meet in Bruma after the wedding has occurred, for reasons that should be obvious to most of you.
When you arrive at the gate say the words "Cunning" and "Determination."

My men who you most likely will not be able to see then will escort you to the palace and we can begin the discussion. These words will be the only things to guide us in the bloodshed that is most likely to follow.

Also an important thing to most of you is that Flavius has taken a turn for the worse I'm afraid, so he has been replaced by a man named
Tiberius Decimus Quintillus, who will not be attending the conference and either will the King of the West Weald.

May Boethiah have mercy on us.

With Cunning and Determination,
Cassamir Velan

"It would seem that our introduction was overlooked in the chaos of, well, whatever that just was," replied the Arch-Count, "And what a shame to miss out on a proper introduction to a woman like yourself, it's not often I meet one of your six who can wield a sword and still maintain such a lovely appearance."

Bincal smiled (somewhat impishly) at this, but allowed the Arch-Count to continue.

"As for your claim to Cheydinhal, you can have it for all I care," he said with a dismissive gesture "I trust that if any of our friends here were to get out of hand you would lend me the strength of your forces to, remind them of their correct stations?"

Vex Bincal nodded. It was always about "stations" and "proper place" for these noble types. And that was something Bincal did not care for. She had, after all, risen far beyond hers.

"You have my promise, commander. Though I'd like to see some recognition in writing. Please send such documents at your leisure." She then cast a glance over the courtyard. "Looks like everyone has left. It was a pleasure meeting you, Arch-Count."

And once the Arch-Count had said his goodbye, Vex Bincal, closely shadowed by Malk and Jod, made her way through the gardens of the Imperial Palace and into the Temple District. They had one last call to make.

Flavius Latartus, a broken man of a dead empire.
--------------------------------------------------------------

Flavius cried as he stared at the ceiling of the Temple.

It's beautiful mosaics depicted the moment the Divines began creation. Mara embraced Akatosh as he weaved the fabric of Time, both smiling at their baby boy, and Kynareth breathed out the air, and created the skies. Julianos held a plum and plans as Zenithar carved the great mountains and valleys, laying the many precious stones and metals that gave Tamriel it's bounty. Then, following the logic of Julianos came Dibella, planting trees and spreading green fields and endless rollling deserts, and then painting the tips of the mountains pure white. And finally, in the center of the world, Lorkhan ripping out his own heart, to give the world life as Stendarr wept, forming the rivers.

He looked at each of their faces, and he recognized each.

His memories drifted back to the past, to better days. His eyes teared up as he thought of his wife and son. They were so beautiful, so vibrant, he loved them with all of his being. He stared down at the floor and covered his eyes. He lost both of them when Imperial City was lost. He left for Leyawiin a few days before them, and he never heard from them again. He just heard the news of the sack, and the stream of injured soldiers entering Leyawiin.

"I miss you, I miss you every day."

He recalled those terrible days, every day standing at the Gates, waiting for news, waiting for the Count, and for his family, but hearing about neither.

The day he took the reigns of the Empire was the worst day of his life.

"I- I can't do this."

Suddenly, he saw a vision. All was dark, but in the dark, Flavius saw an unearthly glow around eight hooded white figures in a half circle around a grave. There was silence for a long time, and then one of the figures looked up, and revealed himself as Akatosh, and the others removed their robes, revealing themselves as the Eight. He smiled and turned Flavius around, and Flavius saw a lordly man wearing the Ruby Crown of the Emperor, and wearing the Amulet of Kings.

"I will be Talos, the Ninth, and I am here to begin my journey. Do not let your heart be weary, Flavius Latartus, for even in these dark times there will be hope. The Reman Empire will fall, and all will fall to ruin, but you can lessen the darkness to come. Spread the word, bring light to the darkness.

"This is an age of woe for Man, but I shall be the god of Man, and I shall lead your people back to their ancient glory. You are to be my prophet, the one who shall announce my coming."

Flavius woke up, and found himself on the floor. He stayed there for a while, unable to believe what he saw.

Slowly, he picked himself up and he knelt before the golden statue of Akatosh, and prayed.

"Thank you for you blessing. I understand, I shall do as you wish. I shall spread your message, my lords, for it is a glorious one. Thank you for this sign, for your prophecy.

"It is a glorious day, for there shall be a Ninth Divine, and he shall make the Empire whole again!"

"So exactly why are you making me marry an elf?" Asked Scipion. Scipion is my younger brother, and general of the military. "It is mainly for political reasons Scipion" I said. "Besides I personally would rather not have a wedding but this is something that their leader wants. Royal tradition I guess."

Just then, a messenger from Boethia's legion came to the throne room and handed me a letter from Lord Cassamir. After reading it, Apparently he wants all of his allies to come to Bruma to discuss war plans.

"Sends a message to Cassamir saying that I will come but I need to deal with some militia that came out of nowhere and took Such and the surrounding area. It shouldn't take long though."

"Yes sire" Replied the steward. As I walked into the hallway I noticed that Julius is in the hallway. "What's wrong with you? And why am I smelling fire?"

(OOC: Sorry if parts of this are inaccurate, I am just trying to introduce my character)

Tiberius, Second-in-Command of Imperial Remnants, Leyawiin

Tiberius paced up and down the court of Castle Leyawiin impatiently. When Flavius had left for the Imperial City, Tiberius had told one of the soldiers to go with them, and report back once any descisions had been made, or . As General of what remained of the Imperial Legions, Tiberius had to stay in Leyawiin while Flavius went to negotiate with the other factions vying for control. It had been a week, and Tiberius was getting restless. It was quite a ride from the Imperial City, but surely something important would've happened by now? Just then Tiberius noticed a solider walk up to him. It wasn't the soldier he had sent with Flavius, but the man had a grim look on his face. The Soldier saluted Tiberius, before speaking.
"Sir, Legionarie Lucius has returned."
Tiberius turned towards the soldier at this news. The younger man looked uncertain about what to say next.
"And?", Tiberius said impatiently.
The soldier replied,"Sir, he's rambling. It's hard to make out what he's saying. I think he mentioned something about the blades."
The Blades, Tiberius thought to himself. What remained of the Dragonguard successors in Cyrodiil had gone with Flavius, to serve as his bodyguard. Had somebody attempted to assassinate Flavius? Tiberius decided to push the thought out of his head untill he knew more, and ran down the hallway, and out of the castle. There in the courtyard was Lucius, sitting on the floor near his horse as two of his comrades try to comfort him. Tiberius ran up to him, his mind filled with possible scenarios. Could Flavius really have been assassinated? Many, including Tiberius had been hoping he'd turn the Empire into some better than it was now, at least a shadow of what it was under Reman III. Where they at war with the other factions? The remnants of the legions numbered barely 300 men, they would be destroyed with little effort. Tiberius looked down at the Legion soldier, who stared back up at him with his eyes wide open.
"Sir... the blades!"
"What about them?", Tiberius asked calmly.
"They... attacked Flavius, and the other members of peace council. Flavius was wounded has been taken to the temple of the one, from what I heard, but I don't know his condition. I wasn't allowed in, Sir."
Tiberius mind reeled from what he had just been told. The Blades attacked Flavius? But they were loyal to the Reman Empire, and Flavius was the leader of the Empire. Why had they done this? They might've possibly destroyed the remnants of the Empire by killing Flavius, if that was the case. Tiberius took a few steps backward, and tried to think of something. His mind was still dealing with the fact that their leader might be dead. The other soldiers looked at him, concern on their faces. After a few moments, Tiberius came to his senses, and addressed the Legion veterans in front of him.
"Find all the remaining Senior Officers. I need to talk to them about this. Tell them to meet me in my quarters."
The Soldiers nodded, before picking up Lucius and taking him to the barracks, to take him to his bed before carrying out their orders. Tiberius turned around, and slowly walked inside the castle.

Andre Motierre, Count of Cheydinhal, Cheydinhal

Andre sat at his desk in his study and rolled through his mind the events of the council one more time. He thought with frustration of his cursed stuttering and his inability to present himself amongst the other lords. "Damn it all to Oblvion!" he shouted out loud in frustration. Getting up to pace his study he walked up to the window and glanced out down at some of his soldiers running through some drills. It had been quiet these past couple weeks since the peace conference. No warlord had really made a move. He wasn't too worried about the other ones at the current moment. Many of them seemed to bicker among themselves and with constant in fighting it was rather easy to keep Cheydinhal safeguarded from any of these measly raids and skirmishes.

His real worry was with Bincal. Andre wanted to make a move against her and felt that it was the time to strike. The council obviously seemed to favor her. If she garnered too much support, he thought with a scowl. If Bincal were to gain the support of any of the major powers then he would be at a huge disadvantage. Andre couldn't allow this, but he wasn't entirely sure with himself and the time to strike. Maybe Bincal would expect something like this? He looked back out the window this time looking past the soldiers to his good subjects walking about. With a sigh he shook his head. Maybe I should talk with Uncle Mathias. He'd probably know what to do.

He left his study and wandered the castle in search for Mathias. This time of day he figured that he would probably be down drilling the soldiers. Perhaps a good spar will help me think clearer too, Andre decided.

Vex Bincal, House of Bincal, Temple District; Engaging: Flavius Latartus
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Several weeks ago, immediately following the conference.

Flavius was deep in prayer before the shrine of Akatosh when one of the healers approached, touching him on the shoulder lightly.

"Pardon me, sir," she said softly. Her voice barely above a whisper. "A woman is here to see you. We tried to turn her away, but she was...insistent. She said she had matters of imperial importance to discuss."

Flavius let out a long sigh. He wasn't entirely sure who it was - perhaps another assassin - but at this moment he wasn't worried. The Divines had given him a great gift. And why would they have done that if Flavius was to die, here and now, by a vengeful assassin's blade?

"Let her in."

Moments later, the healer had returned with none other than Vex Bincal, the warlord Flavius had met before the peace conference was interrupted by his traitorous bodyguards. Why was she coming to see him? Surely she would be running home to her stronghold, eager to take advantage of the abject failure of the peace conference? A bitter taste developed in his mouth. Was this entire conference a farce from the get-go? Just a chance for warlords to flaunt their strength?

"Greetings, Commander Bincal. A pleasure to see you," said Flavius, making a friendly gesture.

"The pleasure is all mine," said Bincal. Her tone implied business.

"What do I owe this honor?" Flavius said kindly. He expected that Bincal was here to capitalize on his present weakness. Maybe get another concession out of him. But he steadied himself against this. No matter what, he would remain strong. Flavius Latartus would not be manipulated any more. The Divines had spoken.

"How well did you know Maximus?" Bincal asked bluntly. Flavius was taken aback by the question. He certainly didn't expect this. He sighed.

"I understand what I said earlier wasn't the entire truth. I knew him, that is true, but I never knew him all that well. We were in the same classes in the Imperial City, and we were within the same pro-empire circles during our earlier. Our loyalty to the Empire was unshakable, see. But our careers differed enough that we never became much more than mere acquaintances." As Vex listened quietly to this, Flavius could see that she was in deep thought about something. Almost conflicted. Once he had finished, Vex spoke up again.

"Have you had any progress in finding the next Dragonborn?"

"No, I'm afraid we haven't," said Flavius. He was doubtful whether the Divines wanted him to go about parading Talos' name. Let alone the fact that people would think he's crazy. Bincal considered this answer for a few moments before suddenly reaching towards Flavius' chest, as if she was going to touch the dagger's wound, but held back.

"You should be lying down and getting some rest, Flavius," said Bincal, walking over to the fountain and filling up a flask with water. She handed this to him, muttering something to herself about the incompetence of the temple healers these days. "Drink up, Flavius, then lay back on the bed here. I'm going to try and fix that wound for you to keep you from getting a nasty scar. It'll only take a few moments."

Flavius took a sip from the flask. He was quickly becoming suspicious of Bincal's over-eagerness to help. She certainly didn't come across as the type. But then again, she had healed him, so she certainly didn't want him dead.

"Please excuse me if I am being curt," said Flavius, taking another sip, "but you'd understand why I might question your motives for helping me? Surely you want something in return? As the leader of the Empire, I'll try my best to make sure your kindness to me is rewarded." He looked for her expression, but Bincal's face had faded out of focus.

"That's exactly what I'm counting on, Flavius," replied Bincal, her voice sounding increasingly distant, and her figure increasingly dim. It was hardly a second after this that everything faded to black. When Flavius next awoke, he would find himself in none other than the indomitable Fort Scinia itself.

Cassamir, The Wedding

Cassamir arrived on his black horse and had brought his bodyguards who managed to stay hidden even in unfamiliar territory.
First a marriage to signify an alliance and then we discuss how we are going to eliminate the opposition.
He noticed a shadow move past him he whispered quietly "I noticed you, hold your chameleon up more"
The figure then disappeared "That's more like it."
A guard stopped him at the door "Who are you"
Cassamir looked at the guard with a smirk
"A man named Cassamir, perhaps you've heard of me, and if you haven't I know Aventius does, so you can open the door for me, or will I have to have Aventius do it?"
The guard seemed to stare at him blankly
"I am the King of Bruma, now let me in or I will have you executed... personally"
The guard quickly opened the door and apologized for his ignorance
He saw a rather large crowd, civilians were not allowed inside, only civilians of importance, the wealthy.
He noticed Aventius talking with Julius who seemed to be having difficulty with the bride
Well this isn't going smoothly, is that burnt chicken I smell, great they can't even cook properly. When Orvas arrives he is going to just have a fit over this.
Cassamir approached the two
"Is there a problem with the bride...?"

Aventius Umbranox. Anvil.

I went and had a drink with Julius. "For a united Cyrodiil." He said as they cheered and and drank. "Oh and someone find where that smell is coming from and take care of it." Just then Casssamir came. "Hello there Cassimir! I'm sure you have gotten my letter about the problem in such right?"
