Personally, I wouldn't like it to be Fallout 2.5 cause it wouldn't do it justice and 4 would be confusing.

(please no discussion on would it be accepted after the release unless if it reflects the name you are giving)

Fallout 2.5 sounds good. But then again it never will be released so it doesn't really matter.

What about for a title -- Fallout: West Coast?

It was based in the Southwest (New Mexico and Arizona, if I remember right), so West Coast would be a bit misleading.

Yes, it was apparently about 80% done when it was canceled. You can play the alpha demo and read dialogue files that go into a lot of detail about the game.

How about Fallout: Van Buren? And change the name of the prison from Tibbets Prison to Martin Van Buren Prison.

My sentiments exactly.
There's something hypnotic about the first two games with the isometric view and the great sound effects. Van Buren would certainly be a successful release if it ever happens. Seeing how Diablo 3 is shaping up, I sort of fancy Blizzard doing a Fallout game : )
