It is probably the spirit of the Snow Prince, whining about what happened to his people and maybe, hopefully filling in even a tiny bit of info about the Falmer and possibly the Dwemer as well.

It will probably be some quest about an ancient Falmer city thats been overrun by... well probably necromancers who are trying to bind the snow princes spirit, you go in and kill all the necromancers loot everything, tea bag a few, jump around going Woop Wopp i'm NUmba 1! then you talk to the snow prince's ghost who says, Thank you for stopping those guys and freeing the souls of my people, who were subsequently captured and turned into zombies and you freeed them by blasting them into smitheriens and chopping them up into pieces.

Now he goes on and on about how sad it is to see his people reduced to what they are now, and rattles on about the glorious of the snow elves in their prime, he thanks you again and rewards you with a special crossbow *new weapon type in dlc* and then his spirit burns up now that it is no longer bound and ascends to whatever heaven awaits a snow elf.. You return to Skyrim and unload all your loots and golds in your house, kick up in your chair, drink a pint by the fire and take a nap.

I know you're kidding but the Snow Prince's spirit if still on Nirn will most likely be on solstheim.

Unless he didn't die there. Maybe that is just were his spear ended up, but maybe his remains were carried off by his snow elves when they fled the battle as he was a religious icon to his people. Most religious iconic rulers who died or were injured on the field of battle were quickly swept off the field and rushed to saftey, or atleast their body was. Alexander the Great, Ghengis Khan (whos body was buried, hidden and everyone who buried it was also killed to keep it a secret) ect ect. So his spear might of been in Solstheim, but his remains, which the spirit is usually bound too. Ie Potema and pretty much all Liches and Spirits who are bound to their bones can easily be transported off to another location. and I'm only halfway joking about my post, that is what I seriously conclude will be the DLC given in the information avalible. It just makes more sense then saying he survived and lives in seclusion, unaffected by the rending the other falmer recieved.
The Snow Prince is the snow elves version of Edward the LionHeart, Joan of Arc, Jesus in battle armor.

Just want to say a few things. Bethesda are not the greatest of writers. We will see something akin to the whole Ayleid statues and crown of and lyndai thing with some Altmer thinking he shall inherit the power of the Falmer after years of research. He hears rumors of an ancient tomb of one of the Falmer princes(there could easily have been more than one, even at the same time).

There is literally zero reason that some of the Snow elves couldn't have survived in their original form by some type of cryogenesis or magic. Maybe a last ditch effort to preserve their culture and history.

So it will either be a spectral Snow Prince, or a fake Snow Prince like the Oblivion Mannamarco.. Seems logical and I could see them doing either one.

If there's a Falmer DLC, it will likely involve the invasion of the surface and tje redemption of their souls or something like that once you kill them all.

Also, the Snow Prince could be reincarnation material.

Could be. In other news, Dawnguard was officially confirmed this afternoon, with no information about the DLC given lol.

With this and MK's recent post, I'm going to guess "Thalmor."

I wonder if that recent Hjalti thread that mentioned Dawnguard is actually in on it or not. If it is, Thalmor are definitely involved. That doesn't mean, however, that Falmer and crossbows aren't. They could be tied up in the Dawnguard main quest or they could be separate entirely and only included in the package.

Who do you think it was that TRULY betrayed the Falmer - the Ancient Nords who learned respect for their prince through bloody war, the Dwemer who enslaved them at their weakest, or their oldest allies, the Altmer of the heartland and the isles who aided them none when such terrors befell the people of the snow?

I'll go ahead and risk getting it all wrong and throw out a theory - we will walk like the snow prince in a Nerevarine like way, and wreak vengeance on the Altmer in his name for their tresspass of non-action.

I hope not the Falmer. They were boring, poor excuses for elves.

I really hope this doesn't happen, but I seriously think it will.

The story line will consist of "Kill ALL the Falmers!" and completely ignore all current lore regarding the race, or it will be fetching information about falmer for a mage.
That'd be a relief. Current falmer lore is horrible. Captives fed mushrooms? SHUT-UP!

Or maybe they were fed to mushrooms. Still lame.
