Letter to the Editor

To the editor:

I must take extreme exception to the poor image given to guild members in these letters. We at the Blackwood Company have dedicated ourselves to doing those jobs that the Fighters Guild does not. Just yesterday we cleared out some http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Infiltration%5D Goblins[/url] for the nice people of the village of Water's Edge. Do not say that the guilds of Cyrodiil are lazy. We beastfolk prove otherwise.

And I hear you guys do a good job, a little aggressively I've heard though.

You should have seen the looks I received when I turned up in the Chorrol guild hall in my newly acquired Blackwood Company plate armour; once I had cleaned off the blood of course. Then to receive a drubbing down by Her Ladyship! Is it my fault that the Blackwood plate is so much better that regular steel. This would not be a problem if the Fighter's Guild provided decent armour to its members. I mean half of them are walking around in iron plate! What kind of image does that promote?

Yours, Sir Dandy Popinjay.

I had the opportunity to visit your great town of Cheydinhal the other day. And I remembered dreamed1's letter from before, recommending individual trainers. I walked to the lovely chapel and had a wonderful conversation with someone named Hil the Tall, who turns out, is an Alteration Trainer; I even confirmed this fact in town. But when he opened his coat, all he had was Illusion, Illusion, Illusion.
Why does this person blatantly lie in my face about Alteration Training? Or perhaps I am not skilled enough in the Speechcraft of your people?
Needless to say, I declined the Illusion Training. Is is that I am a tourist, albeit, accidentally, in that I do not understand the customs of offering something that you cannot have? Strange behavior that I will study further, so that I may integrate a little further into your society.
