After you've confronted Benny at The Tops in Vegas you will be given a message by a Legion frumentarii, after that you go to Cottonwood Cove in the south-eastern part of the map and use a boat to get to the Fort.
Though I'd advice you to talk to Caesar peacefully before you start tearing [censored] apart.

Agreed. I'm an enemy of Caesar, but talking to him and exhausting every dialogue option possible is a good idea before killing him.

When you get to New Vegas, you will have your reputation with the NCR and Legion wiped clean. ( only if you have a negative rep ...)

Then they'll tell you how you can talk to Cearer. I'm with you, I want that guy dead. but you're gonna have a hell of a fight on your hands. Maybe it's best to plan a stratedgy and get stronger.

Alright, now I'm sure he's dead. He was going on and on about trying to kill Ceaser.

Poor guy, didn't learn how to crawl before he learned how to walk ...

No it doesn't for those who take their time and play it as it's meant to it was a cake walk.

it is really hard if you are using a rebalance mod that decreases loot/ammo and increases damage/crippling that you take.... I made it through the outside with only 10% health and a few bullets left.

I think it goes without saying that you should do all the DLCs at least once. I'm in the camp that enjoyed DM less, but it was still an interesting experience. Just don't go in expecting to run and gun the whole way.

I was thinking exactly the same thing, now it actually sounds worse than the original

Back on topic, my first ever playthrough was NCR, and I completed it before I really got into the game and appreciated it fully. Before the DLC came out, and before the GRA arsenal. That finally happened during my second playthrough, which was Yes Man. So I'd really like to relive my NCR character again - starting from Courier, to trooper, to ranger, before finally getting the veteran status. It would be cool to see that progression through the ranks.

Hmm, I'm playing through NV for the 2nd time, and I don't think I did much different... oh yea, wait... I wiped out Cottonwood after I freed some slaves there, which I didn't know about during my first play through. LOL Oh and House is history this time around!

I also would go the NCR route during your first play through. Get familiar with the game, see how the quests play out and then you know later on, which ones you can sabotage, if you do decide a Legion play through.

The makers of the game did that to test out what would happen if everyone died. I wouldn't suggest it. Those that have tried got pretty bored and have given up doing it.

Also I didn't mean to make it sound sarcastic. It was like midnight and I was tired. I wanted it to sound like I legitimately liked the Dead Money DLC. (which I did)

I know, but it still sounds funny even if it wasn't intentional. :P

And I'm doing a killall playthrough right now and it's just so damn boring, just mindless slaughter.
At least in Borderlands I'm doing it for delicious randomized weapons.
At least in L4D I'm doing it to reach the end of the map.
In FNV though? Going out of my way to Jacobstown to kill them earns no reward so it's just a snoozefest.

That's why I'm convinced that you should try to do it sneakily, and in the most diabolical way - handing Cass over to the Van Graffs, for example, instead of just putting a bullet in her brainpan yourself. See how long you can kill people before the major factions wise up to the psychopath in their midst. :D

You can't bring companions but you won't need them, you get your own companions in the DLCs except for OWB. You could do them in order of release; DM, HH, OWB, LR.

Or you can do them in the order I do them which is HH, DM, OWB, LR. I do them in this order because HH is easier and shorter than the other DLCs. DM, OWB, and LR in that order because it fits well with their stories/lore.

For the first 20 levels I'd say do the quests as introduced and don't wander off to far into dangerous, high level enemy areas. It will just make things difficult. Know what DT is and how it works. Know your bullets. Know your weapons, and off you go.
