Longest Playthrough?

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 7:54 pm

213 hours on my character, although he has been put on hold for quite a while while I play though Skyrim, and now going through FO3 again. Will eventually get around to finishing him off.

Walking mostly, and no fast travel helps extend the gameplay...as well as a few mods like New Vegas Bounties.

Current NCR playthrough is ~226 hours. No FT, just recently purchased DLC's so that should chalk up a bit more.

Really cool guys. In Fallout 3 I played for about 70 something hours. I wanna hit that in new vegas. At 54hrs right now without dlc. Should be able to get there problem. Idk why but for some reason I am obsessed with having really long playthroughs. Go figure.

What? How was the framerate?

It was fine most of the time. The game froze every 40 minutes because of the way the ps3 saves data, but other than that there weren't many framerate issues or any other problems (for me at least).

Exactly what I did  , then I decided it would make more sense to be a NFT playthrough as a Desert Ranger.

lol, we're too much alike. I found that walking everywhere added a whole new dimension to the gameplay, not as much as hardcoe mode, but still. It was tedious at times, but I enjoyed getting to know the Mojave like the back of my hand. By the end of that playthrough, I knew all of the major roads, where they led, where the shortcuts were, and how to travel to most locations without ever looking at the pipboy map. It really felt like I had "walked the Mojave" by the end of that playthrough.

I have 3 completed playthroughs and all had 90-95 hours by the time I finished them and deleted them.

Not a bad thing  Exactly! I love that feeling, expecially when it comes to the Mojave. :D

I don't like rushing through the game, so I generally end up putting in lots of hours. I'm not sure about previous characters, but my current one has 85 hours already. I've just done Dead money, I've got the other DLCs and the main quest to complete, so I reckon on well over 100 hours by the time I finish.

My current playthrough is at 130 hours, I just go around killing legion hit squads or chilling at Camp Golf.

Finally finished my second character a few minutes ago, had 215 hour and some odd minutes on him. Although i could've gotten more, but the crashes grew more and more frequent and eventually became intolerable. It was a very old save I had been working off of and was at almost 14 MB, so I decided to cut it short and finish now, rather than later. Now I need to decide on a new character...perhaps someone less mentally unstable this time.

EDIT: First character had about 65 hours played, second and longest playthrough 215 hours, and my third (arguably my favorite character) was lost due to a corrupt save after a re install of my OS at a little over 70 hours gameplay.

Now at 67hrs. I have about everything done in the game except a few of the companion quests and the dlc except for dead money. I thinking that by the time I am done I will have around 90. Than might start another playthrough this time a good character who wants to help the people of the wasteland. I don't have the details worked but it something to do till I decide to buy dark souls or until I see some reviews for dragons dogma to see if its worth a purchase.
