Going to pause Victor for the moment, recently bought the ultimate edition on Steam and want to do a normal play through first before doing this, Once I go back to Victor I'll have to restart as I was previously playing on Xbox

After my failure with Chris Avellone (Fallout 1 Bounty Hunter) I did some playing around and experimenting with Hard Difficulty and I concluded that I probably had plain old bad luck to get jumped by two Giant Radscorpions so early in the game at level 5. I'm game to try once more with Fantasic.

My thoughts on this is, in terms of science/repair, is that Fantastic is described by Ignatius as a complete imbecile, but he is without doubt a charismatic fast talker, and a survivor. (He has to be a survivor, because he's an imbecile who lasted in this job far too long.) So I'm thinking thus:

Fantastic
SPECIAL: 3 ST, 5 PE, 5 EN, 9 CH, 6 IN, 5 AG, 7 LK (Total = 40)
Tag Skills: Barter, Speech, Survival
Karma: Neutral
Faction: NCR Path

In GECK he's listed as scientist but in reality he has no real scientific skill. I rounded his CH up to 9 (from your 8) to make a total of 40, and set the tags like that. I'll put all his traits and perks along the lines of smooth talking, wheeling, dealing and making as much money as possible, since that fits with his character -- to try to talk his way out of any and every situation regardless of his inneptitude in technical areas.

How's that sound?

If you are on PC I recommend manually removing that extra CH. I did that with Autumn who had 1 SPECIAL point less than normal Couriers.

Looks good, I'll update the OP. If you want to take Pistolero's advice, that's good too, but manually changing your stats isn't required so as not to put console users at an unfair advantage or disadvantage.

Sure, I added James to the OP.

Been reading these forums for months now and have been keen to do this. Now I've finished my recent playthrough I'll put my name forward.

I was thinking of doing apprentice Watkins if that's all right and you can dig up some Special stats for me.

If you can reload to pre-hostilities situation go to the place where you can order the bunker to self-destruct, perhaps there is a turret terminal somewhere.

I'm totally confused by this and the previous post. This is DiD right? There's no reload. No going back to a previous, more advantageous situation. You have to deal with the stuff as it happens. That's my understanding of DiD. Did I miss something?

Reason I say is because Chris Avellone was winning the fight at Nipton Road Pit Stop against the Vipers then I saw those two Giant Radscorpions running up from the desert to our rear flank, so I just tried my best to deal with them. But if this is the case I could have just reloaded my earlier save and taken a more northerly route to Niption.

Reloading seems to defeat the entire purpose of DiD.

I didn't mean on reloading to save your ass. I'm just tossing an idea of convenience here.

Wait, really? There are deathclaws in sewers under Freeside? Guess I should have explored the sewer systems more...
