Hello there all.

I have just installed new graphics card drivers for the radeon X800 gt/pro, and now there is no resolution in the options menu in the Morrowind launcher, only the name of the graphics card, I have tried repairing the game in add or remove programs, but that has no effect. Also evrey time that I click on play to start Morrowind from the launcher, I always get the following message:

Morrowind has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Send an error report.

do any of you have any ideas how I can get Morrowind to recognise the resolution in options on the launcher, I really do not want to lose this game as I have reached level 17, and only have two tribes to convince of my being hortator, and House Hllalu to convince of my being their war leader.

Alternatively do any of you know if copying or taking the save games out of the Morrowind folder in Programs before I uninstall the game will work once I re-install the game, and then place the save games into the save folder in Morrowind?

Did the game work on the old driver? Try reverting back to it.

And yes, you can stash your save file somewhere safe, then use it again after a reinstall.
(if you're using mods, you'll need to use the same ones again because the save file will be dependent on them)

I re-installed and placed the old save game folder in the Morrowind Folder in Programs, and that worked fine, so I am very greatful for your advice, thank you.
