The limitations of the Nerevarine Prophecies on a character'

I have been trying to come up with a good background for my next character, who is also going to fulfil the Nerevarine Prophecies (etc.) and something occurred to me. If a character is to become the Nerevarine, he/she has to be born on a certain day to uncertain parents. This means that the character has to be adopted/found by someone else, and that the biological parents - and everyone they knew - have to be dead. In addition, the fact that you are transported from the Imperial Cities Prison to Morrowind suggests that you were arrested for a crime in Cyrodiil, or committed a crime serious enough to be transferred there, but not serious enough to be executed. (Powerful enemies framing the character, or the Emperor pulling some strings are also options.) The fact that you are recognizable as an outlander based on your accent (etc.), and that the Nerevarine Prophecies requires an Outlander to fill the role of Nerevarine. This means that native-born Dunmer characters are out of the question as well.

With these limitations in mind, I have struggled to come up with an interesting backgound for my planned character in vain. The fact that I also want it to be "Redoran-Compatible" (Personality, not stats and skills.) does not make matters easier.

So I figured I might as well ask for some help here on the forums. I don't need anything detailed, just a basic concept that I could use to write a proper background. If you can think of other ways to work in the "Nerevarine Limitations" than I listed above, that would also be good. I have narrowed down the racial choices to Redguard, Dunmer and Imperial, and know that I want to have Spear and Medium Armour as Major Skills. That's all I have decided on so far.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

It’s a bit more flexible than that in practice, really. The Nerevarine is also meant to drive the Empire from Morrowind and restore ancestor worship as the primary religion – but s/he doesn’t (have to). So, you know, maybe your character did know their parents. It doesn’t really matter – parentless heroes are just symbols of mythic-birth, and maybe you don’t want/care about that for your guy, which is fine.

The Prophecies are just guidelines tbh, probably with parts added and taken away and misinterpreted since they were first created. What really decides whether or not you’re the Nerevarine is your character - the strength of the Prisoner lies in their power of choice.
