As the topic says. In Fallout New Vegas I seemed to get a nice fps increase from running the game in Windowed Mode, but I'm not so sure about Oblivion since it seems my gpu load goes nuts in menus when I'm playing in windowed mode. Is there any way around this and if so is there any advantage to running the game in windowed mode performance wise?

I'm testing out a new utility called "Fake Fullscreen Mode Windowed" and would be interested in the answer to this question as well.

Run the game full screen at the same resolution as your desktop. See if that makes any difference.
