And for alchemy OH BOY we have a got something in store for you! There are over 5000 types of plant and ingredients for you to harvest and use to make potions! And they all have to same effect so you never have to wonder what potion you want to make! Everyone loves damage magic regen!!!

And weve been telling you that the skills and things you do will level as you use them! BUT WE WERE JUST LYING! you have to assign stupid points to only 1 thing! so if you were using you alchemy skill and smithing in the same level then you can only choose to master one of those! ITS ALL ABOUT SIMPLIFYING! people are stupid and hate making choices so weve made them for you!!!

The series definitely seems to be heading in this direction. If anything it'll take a few more games before it gets that bad though. The next Fable is already supposedly on rails. As for the people who refuse to see this trend, it's obviously has become a trend because of them.

I see the joke, but I don't see it as relevant. I don't think that Bethesda has "Dumbed down" a thing. If you think Elder Scrolls was ever about stats being redundant (Intelligence and "amount of magicka" being interchangable, for example) then you don't understand a thing about it.

They are experimenting with the design. So sue them.

If people want to constructively discuss their concerns about simplification that's fine. However threads like this are little more than flame bait.
