Is Akaviri invasion, after the dragons appeared, possible?

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 10:27 am

First of all, I am not a lore buff, I am trying to become one, but it is just the begging, so I don't know much about the Akaviri and their whole history, don't be mad if I say something wrong.

The Ka Po' Tun are trying to become the dragons, and one have succeeded (whatever it means), while the Tsaesci enslaved the dragons of Akaviri. So wouldn't the news of them reborn in Skyrim reach Akaviri, and wouldn't both races try to invade Tamriel, in order to enslave-eat-become the dragons?

If the word reaches them, and that's a big if as there is no real communication between the continents as far as I know then an invasion from Akavir is possible. However they could invade without dragons returning as well...

Well the first time they invaded, they somehow knew that there is a Dragonborn, so wouldn't they know that a new one appeared?

The Tsaescii may be reading their own Elder Scroll as well.

I will be really disappointed if the Tsaescii turn out to be snakey, bipedal Argonians.

But, the biggest influence of TES is D&D and I think the Tsaescii are based around these YuanTi things.

I guess it depends. If the Akaviri are looking for a Dragonborn, for whatever reason, and they have an Elder Scroll they might know that the last Dragonborn is on Tamriel. I don't see any reason for them to want one unless they need some Dragons to be permanantly put down in Akavir.

They'd wanna kill the Dragonborn right seeing how they want to be dragons. Plus the Akaviri got their own problems so I dont think they'll invade with the Dragonborn's life time.

For those not in the know: I linked to a D&D naga, and Trillid's avatar is a D&D Yuan-Ti

Both. The Yuan-ti should be a Naga, and the "Naga" should be...something else.

And much cuter.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the Sermons allude to Akavir invading Tamriel three times in vengeance for some act contained therein? And haven't there only been two invasions to date?

From our most recent information (which is probably much older than 200 years), unlikely. The Tsaeci and the Ka Po'tun are fighting each other and the Kamal thaw out every summer and attack the Tang Mo. I think that the only likely source of invasion from Akavir would be the Kamal, if they feel like trying to invade again.

If the Akaviri spend the same amount of time and effort planning an attack like Uriel V did, they would pretty much need to be unified or at least have an agreement to not attack each other because they perceive Tamriel as a threat to their constant warfare.

However, this is based off considerably outdated information.

The Monkey People could be all dead for all we know.

If they ever make a game on Akavir, I wonder how they will treat the seasonal changes. Kamal unfreezes and the Snow Demons attack every spring... The could get very interesting.
