Battlehorn Castle Confusion

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 9:01 pm

Lord Jaren's Journal states that Arielle Jurard wants to take over Lainlyn. Does this mean that the journal was written before the Miracle of Peace, since Lainlyn did not exist after the event? Also a certain line for Lord Kelvyn's will confuses me: Since his[Kelvyn's father Jaren's] untimely death, I have continued to hold Battlehorn Castle in the hope that someday we wil hear from Lord Kain and our[the Knights of the True Horn's] exile will be at an end. I would think that Lord Kelvyn meant exile from Lainlyn, but his will was written after the Miracle of Peace. Did he not know about it? Tea and cookies for whoever has an answer.

Hmmm. I'm not certain. That is a good question. You might check the http://http://www.imperial-library.info/.

Although, you would probably get better results, if you asked a Mod to move this to the Lore Forum. There are some very sharp and learned guy/gals in there. I'm sure they could help.

The book mentions a Baron Shrike, he is the ruler of Lainlyn. He can be seen in the game Daggerfall which begins before the Miricle of Peace and ends with that event happening. In fact Lord Kain, who is also mentioned in the journal is a character in Daggerfall and is seeking to remove his brother from the throne. Given these two pieces of I think we can say with certainty that yes the journal was written before the Miracle of Peace, also called the Warp in the West.
