SO are we getting a GOTYDLC added edition?

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 8:38 pm

Sorry if it's been asked 1,000,000 times before, but I haven't seen a thread even though I've checked several times. (and didn't mean to make the 'So' in the title all caps either.)

I'm a total obsessive of this game and still going through making new chars. Started on normal level and difficulty, now playing on very hard + hardcoe and still love it, but I really thought a GOTY/DLC added release would've been scheduled by now, please say it's going to be released? I just never felt like getting the DLC's one at a time and wanted the whole thing at once, am even playing the very first unpatched version of the game and rarely have problems apart from the Slayer perk requirements being bugged and some traders getting their caps locked at 32k so you can't sell anything to them. Probably a few other things too but it still plays more or less fine.

I'll need those DLC's soon though and hope I don't have to mess around going onto the network and downloading each one, would prefer to buy the release way more. Also, I can't for a second work out why it wouldn't be a good idea to do it, it's not like it won't sell enough is it? This game is loved by so many people now, seems insane to think that it wouldn't happen. It's basically like saying no to a load of cash if it isn't released + a load of happier fans of the game.

Would love for someone who works for Bethesda to comment but I realise the chances of that happening are too slim. If anyone hears anything though please let us know.

Oh and : That Gun and Mantis Gauntlet FTW, especially if you're a critical damage player! (and <3 Veronica!)

It's been theorized and speculated based on past Bethesda marketing, but as of this time there is no official announcement confirming this.

So just hanging around for Bethesda to say something then, cool. I'm sure that'll be quick! (sarcasm...)

Odds are that if they do make one, then it will most likely be released sometime between late November to late January.

Such is the tradition for multiple DLC games. However I wouldn't expect it around the time Skyrim hits the market. They'll most likely commit every resource they have to their favorite child.

Ofc anything else would be madness. Profit stands to be made by releasing a GOTY edition

Oh and ofc it wont be released close to skyrim

I've found two, by just searching this section of the forums. You'll find this question once a couple of weeks by searching any other sections too.

I would expect late January or early February. Because, Skyrim will already have hit the markets. Though, they might want the GOTY edition to be out for the holiday rush. I suppose we will be notified a couple weeks after LR is released.

I would think that a "GOTY" edition would be out for the holiday sales period,... say first week of December. But with Skyrim being released on November 11th, that could change the release date. Releasing a GOTY in January will still generate sales, but at a slower volume.

I'm sure they'll release a version of New Vegas with all four DLCs. and maybe all the pre-order packs.

Hopefully they'll call it something other than a GOTY as it's a base requirement to win actually win that award from a few non-obsure review sites/publications. Oblivion and Fallout 3 did win tons of those awards. New Vegas didn't win any that I know of and even Google turned up a blank in my search.

Exactly. They'll release something like that and its not gonna be called the GOTY Edition.

It would be stupid to not release an Ultimate edition of NV, like Bioware did for Dragon Age: Origins.

Heck I bought Dragon age and Fallout 3 twice because of their Ultimate and GOTY editions, respectively. Of course that was cause i originally had them for 360 and wanted them for the PC, but still no Ultimate edition of the game would be insanity

Thanks all, made me feel a lot better about the chances of it happening now. Am doing my current run and will probably have a couple/few months break, then hopefully it'll be ready for release.

I'll say the same thing about the collectors edition of Skyrm. Bethseda likes money, we like stuff so yeah it will probably happen. Maybe do a aniversy edition style like with Oblivion and get ten dollars off Fallout 4. Hell through in some previews of 4 and it would sell like hot cakes.
