Skyrim & Dead Island Comparison

Ok my friend and I are avid elder scroll players, today my friend decided to play Dead Island after about 10 min of play he had the audacity to compare Dead Island to Skyrim. I know i'am not the only one who is a little vexed by this, what do guys/girls think?
