Which Daedric Prince Would You Worship?

Post » Wed Nov 25, 2009 2:11 pm

As much as I hate to join the "Sheogorath cuz he iz teh lolfountain" train, I think I'd prefer him over most of the others. But I'm not 100% on that.

Sheogorath does have the benefit that if you pick wrong with him, you won't be sane enough to regret it.

but i think it would be Peryite the because i'm a very dragon fanatic and if i cant choise between the good dragons then i follow the evil 1's :P and wont see him as a dragon because hes not born as a dragon
and yes i also heard that Peryite only has a dragon shape just to anoy akatosh
but i have to choise a dearda prince than it would be him

Scary... even when they're easily defeated they still give me the creeps, especially zombies.

Skeletons are cool though, I don't mind fighting them. They remind me of classics like Jason and the Argonauts and undead pirate cliches (clearing out Dunbarrow Cove for example).

Worship is not always complete love and adoration. I'm pretty sure few Aztecs had a soft spot for the god who demanded the blood of thousands. And doesn't Islam translate to something like 'obedience.' Awe should be sufficient, for most of the Princes.

Ah Islam means "submission" moreover, as it's used in the willing sense of the term, as in, not enforced. (Whether than translates into real life, whatever.)

And I'm pretty sure the people who were sacrificed in Aztec times volunteered themselves freely, and did so out of adoration for their gods and the immense honor it was in that society. I do know that it wasn't at all along the lines of the (cringeworthy) "red-drink" sacrifice seen in Oblivion.

Actually, didn't the Aztecs sacrifice people captured in war? Or am I getting them mixed up with the Mazticans? :P

Yeah. They'd capture them in real wars or Garland, or "Flower," wars. In these wars, great warriors (not rival civilizations; they fought within themselves) would fight each other for honor and standing and whatnot, and I THINK the flower part dealt with them taking dyes and crap from flowers and covering themselves with it...but I may be thinking about Woad fighters or raiders or whatever they're called. Some wiki-prove me wrong where that is true for Aztecs too or not.

These Garland Wars' main purposes were to gain rank, as stated above, AND as an efficient means of getting sacrifices.

And I learned this through other means that Wikipedia. I BE READIN'!!! :read: :grad:

On second thought:

1) Hermaeus Mora
2) Mephala or Vaermina (Mephala would likely be more stimulating, but Vaermina more interesting)
3) Molag Bal (Wouldn't want to be on this one's bad side...)
4) Sanguine (FUN)
5) Peryite (OCD lives on)
6) Namira (I like how her use of darkness is much more subtle than Nocturnal's, though it likely wouldn't offer much thrill)
7) Hircine (I'm a vegan for chrissake! But I guess this would give me the chance to hunt humans...muaha. Love his look, as well)
8) Clavicus Vile (love his personality, but would be too risky a ride)
9) Boethiah or Nocturnal; not overly partial or impartial to either
10) Mehrunes Dagon (Molag Bal seems to be just as destructive, but not nearly as impulsive)
12) Malacath
13) Azura (*Snore*)
14) Meridia (I cannot stand this wannabe diety)

Didn't include Sheogorath, because I wouldn't know where to classify him after Shivering Isles. I do love him though.

If I were in the TES world, I'd love to worship Sheogorath.
But... I don't think I could resist the temptation that Hermaeus Mora offers.

By the gods how I wish we could have explored him more in the games

*Ahem* Anyway, back to lurking.

Sheogorath. I would follow him just because hes just plain fun. He has his mood swings but he aint immortal. so if he gets to out of line with me i'll gut him.
