No.
The Eight Divines created the world at the urging of Shor/Shezzar/Lorkhan, and all major religions, even if they do not consider this important, acknowledge it. The reason it is fun is because everyone seems to only have an outline. The old humans (and Dunmer) think Shor was trying to lead everyone to transcendence and was betrayed by the Aedra who did not realize the extent of the cost. Altmer and hardcoe elves believe that Lorkhan tricked the gods (and the Aldmer, who were gods as well) into giving up their divinity and therefore must be undone. Imperials belive an ancient political smash-together of both. It is called the Monomyth for a reason, and that reason is that all creation stories on Nirn are a cultural interpretation of it.
Most humans do not believe Lorkhan was betrayed. Nordic and Imperial belief has the Aedra purposefully sacrificing their power for Mundus, and Shor/Shezarr was killed by "elven giants". I Nord would be furious if you even considered calling
their Aedra elven giants.
The similarities between Men and Dunmer cease after their respect of Lorkhan.
