Where was Paarthurnax?

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 1:37 am

Alduin presumably resurfaced at the Throat of the World, exactly where he was defeated. Paarthurnax has been hanging out there since the end of the Dragon War, so shouldn't he have encountered Alduin there? Do we have any info on this meeting that I may have missed?

Or did Alduin just pop up while Paarth was off getting donuts or something?

A woman named Beth danced around a totem made of a wheel and a tower. The wheel and the tower repeated themselves in an arbitrary manner and sent out light-but-not. Then Beth fired all her good writers and wrote a story that didn't make sense.

Paarthurnax is clearly no match for Alduin, such is obvious when we fight Alduin alongside Paarthurnax. I imagine Alduin gave a badass speech, telling Paarthurnax he was going to keep him alive until the end so he could witness the world he had sworn to protect get eaten first-hand. Regardless, who's to say Paarthurnax did not encounter Alduin there? He couldn't have stopped him.

Fixed that for you. MK might have been good, but unless you spent a few months deciphering his gibberish he was never one for 'making sense'

So? Once deciphered, it made more sense and made things more grand. Through him, it made TES much more awesome.

Guys, we already have plenty of MK discussion going on in this forum. I see no place for it in this thread, so will have to ask that it be left out.

Aren't dragons supposed to be sensitive to Time and anomalies in Time? It stands to reason that he could've felt the Time Wound growing in power and fled/hid rather than confront Alduin directly.

Of course, this topic begs me to ask "Where was Paarthurnax when the Dragon Broke?"

This, even if Parthunaax tried to stop him(even with alduin weak because of the Elder Scroll) Parthunaax would still be defeated.
