I'd mess up my character and start over, or think up something new, and start over, I have played through this game, and the DLC Dead Money so many times that it's not even funny.
Soon my live status on xbox will be running out, and I plan to go back to new vegas until I can renew it. (Been playing Dark Souls)
Now, with my last playthrough I had a rough time choosing which faction my character would join up with. I was leaning in the end more towards Yes Man, but eventually stopped playing once I got Skyrim, and then Dark Souls.
Now I'm looking for opinions here, and so I'll give you a rundown on my character.
"Ranger" type character in means of high Survival Skills, Proficient with nearly all kinds of small firearms (Revolvers, and Rifles mainly), but doesn't mind getting up close and personal when things have to get dirty. (Good in all forms of hand-to-hand combat.)
He is a loner, very little in the ways of friends, and not a very charismatic person. Having grown up in the wasteland, he has some very big trust issues. Trusting only those he has to, but hates having to rely on others when things get tough. Those he does trust, he is extremely loyal to.
All-around good natured, hating both corruption and "bad" people. He will never bribe another person, and doesn't take kindly to people who try to buy him. He will help other people out if he feels strongly about the situation they are in, or the problems they are facing. He doesn't mind selling his ability with his guns, but if he doesn't like you or if you give off a bad "vibe" you won't be getting much from him, and if he saw you commiting a crime against another person, he wouldn't even warn you before putting a piece of lead between your eyes. Though altogether, he hates killing people.
Very intelligent, His mother was a merchant in pre-war tech, anything from robots to toasters, if it broke down she could fix it. He grew up helping her out, and had many projects of his own when growing up in the wasteland.
(I have my whole characters backstory, history, and everything in my head, and worked a long time planning him out, this is just a basic summary on his abilities.)
Now, in the shoes of my character I am torn between the three options of the NCR, Mr. House, and Yes Man.
The NCR seems to me corrupt. Mr. House is a dike, and seems to be stuck in a place before the war. He seems to be naive to the thoughts of just how much has changed after it. Yes Man seems more of protecting the people and individuality of New Vegas.
What am I missing, or what have I got wrong, and what is everyone elses opinions on these three choices? What would be the best course of action for my courier who wants the best possible outcome for New Vegas?
