101 Elder Scrolls VI Ideas

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 12:12 am

I will start us off from 1 to 101=)

1.More Quests to involve Dark Brotherhood style assassination's , not a bunch of draugrs and skeletons all the time.

2. Blunderbuss guns and explosive arrows etc, where you have to collect gunpowder from dead guys.

3. MMO: All the other guys are doing it! Why not turn the vibrant world of Tamriel into mindless experience grind?

4. Space Travel: We went 200 years into the 4'th Era in Skyrim, why not go n-years forward into the 5'th? Explore Landfall-scoured Tamriel. Delve underground to meet the survivors. Travel the Aether in Vehkships, Sunbirds, and Mothmoths.

5. Back in Time: We went back in time to the 2nd Era in Redguard. Why not do it again? How about the First Era? Or the Merethic? Fight the Dwemer or the Chimer in Resdayn. Fight the Nords or the Falmer in Skyrim. Help Alessia's Rebellion in Cyrod. Fight the Sload in Thras. So many scenarios!

6. Alinor: Explore the complex history and political drama of the Altmer and the Thalmor. Join the Psijic Order!

7. Return to Morrowind: Play either on the mainland or return to Vvardenfell. Help the New Temple, the East Empire Reclaimers, the Fighters Guild, the New Houses, and the Mages Guild Remnants just to name a few.

Can we at least keep this lore related so that it belongs in this forum?

8. The Great War. Set in Cyrodiil and Hammerfell, pick a side and fight it out.

9. Yokuda, before the fall. Sword singing, nuclear bomb cuts.

10. Adventure game where you play as an Ancestor Moth trying to warn people of impending danger.

11. Puzzle game where you play as a blind moth priest, using moth-based echolocation to find your way around an immense library to locate a specific book.

I say yes to No. 1 - Skyrim DB was nearly as lacking as the College of Winterhold. We need more typical assasin contracts with the option to kill them in a creative way which gives us a bonus (much like Oblivion) before we complete the main quest and have to do radiant story assassinaions *yawn*. On behalf of the lore forums, no to No. 2. Instead it should be replaced with a much more varied magic system (Oblivion's was better!).

12. Magic improvement for reasons above (atleast give us Levitation)

13. More puzzles or riddles.

Big ideas there cool, just wanted to add one tiny one:

8. Some more 'brands'. F3 And F:NV had nuka cola and cram sugar bombs etc; Why can't we have NollingBrew Mead, or GreyThroat Beef Steak?

On the subject of Ancestor Moths and Blind Priests, I'd love to see more of MK's wacky, compound moth words and Imperial agencies coalesce into something more tangible. It's even Monty Python-esque, but it's still fun, and it would be cool to see a more absurd take on the Empire rather than the neo-Roman collective we see ingame. More moths, bulls, and heart wounds please.

15. Better Blades. I loved howw the Blades were in Morrowind, liked them in Oblivion (though there connection to the Talos Cult was interesting), went back to loving them for the first part of Skyrim's story (not the individuals mind you; though Esbern's not that bad, he just seems like he's a little 'out of it') but once they made the Parth Ulmimatum, I wanted to purge Sky Haven. Skyrim seemed to be setting them up to be the "cloak and dagger" rivals to the Thalmor, but then they threw that out to make them glorified dragon hunters. Bring back the CIA Blades.

Yes, the Blades in Morrowind were pretty cool. Even hopped up on skooma and moon sugar, Caius was still able to stay way ahead of the curve and always secret. If Caius and his bunch were in Cyrodiil during the Oblivion Crisis, I'm sure he would've been a lot quicker in gathering information. He probably couldn't have stopped the Emperor's assassination, but he definitely would have out-spied Baurus and Jauffre.
