Oblivion crash at menù selection : IV

hello, I have a problem with Oblivion Goty(v1.2.2416), the game crash at menù selection of new game o load game and freeze the pc.

my pc is:

Mainboard: M2N
Cpu: Intel core 2 duo E8400 3.00Ghz
Ram: 2 Gb DDR2 800
Video: Ati Radeon HD5750 1GB
Audio: Creative SoundBlaster Extreme Gamer x-fi 7.1
Windows XP SP 2 professional edition

Have you ever been able to play the game on that machine? (you certainly have the hardware for it.... should run pretty good.)

If so, have you tried deleting your oblivion.ini in the My Games\Oblivion folder?

Added/Removed/updated/changed any mods lately? What about installed any new software on your machine, or changed any hardware?

updated GPU x1900xt 256 mb to HD5750 1gb and driver of GPU.

Try renaming or deleting the oblivion.ini file (...\My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Oblivion.ini)

Oblivion will then redetect hardware. It will also, probably, not recognize your video card and set everything to medium. Just change the settings according to what you think your card will support (You can always change them later)
