Which Province has the most dangerous monsterswilderness?

Oases, and yes, probably. Yeah, that's how I've always seen it. Real serene, mild climate, rolling green hills, Nature's wild tendencies completely crushed under the heel of Altmer high culture.

While were on this topic, I've always looked at it like that, but with lots of wretchedness beneath it all. Gorgeous green meadow? Cambodian killing field. Something similar to Vile's realm.

Hammerfell is just a desert, Black Marsh is a swamp that kills just about everyone that isn't Argonian.

More people of various races ave survived in Hammerfell and Morrowind then in Black Marsh.

I suppose if your caught bang in the middle of the Alik'r you'd rather be any place but.

Y'all need to brush up on your lore. Not only does the lore specifically mention that Hammerfell was once populated by massive, vicious beasts, but that only the Redguards managed to beat them into submission/extinction and Hammerfell is still very much a place only the Redguards are hardy enough to truly live in. The same can be said for the Ashlanders on Vvardenfell.

To be fair, Black Marsh is pretty much a swamp version of The Ashlands and Alik'ir Desert.

Hammerfell had Bretons, Orcs, Dwenmer and Goblins living there before the Ra'ga ever set foot on Tamriel. Whilst Hammerfell has many interesting and deadly creatures, it pales in comparison to Argonia.

My god I want ES VI: Black Marsh so [censored] bad. I would definitely say it's the most dangerous.

Black Marsh for sure, followed by Valenwood. Then portions of Hammerfell.

Don't count out Skyrim. It's got some pretty deadly fauna: mammoths, giants, chaurus, Falmer, and as of recently, dragons Granted, most of these are either relatively peaceful and unaggressive, or live exclusively underground. Plus, Skyrim is the coldest province in Tamriel. I'm not saying it's deadlier than Black Marsh but it's definitely up there.

Valenwood has the worst monsters, though Black Marsh is deadliest overall, and is essentially the Australia of Tamriel. Though in Black Marsh everything is trying to kill you, none of the monsters in Black Marsh are quite as individually dangerous as the Wild Hunt, AFAIK. Black Marsh has hundreds of thousands of poisonous beasties, but Valenwood essentially has successful Cthulu Cultists who have returned themselves to a time before form and Euclidean geometry.

Even ignoring the Wild Hunt, Valenwood is probably more dangerous / creepy than any of the Mannish provinces, considering the ambulatory trees and intelligent obligate carnivores. If you go to Skyrim, you might become a popsicle. Go to Valenwood, and you'll become pants, butterknives, and elf caca.

Good point, I had completely forgotten about the Wild Hunt. But wouldn't Black Marsh contain beasties from the Wild Hunt too? If I recall correctly many of Morrowind's creatures are a direct result of it.

I don't see the wild hunt being that deadly if the Aldmeri Dominion managed to take Valenwood *shrug*. And to those who say Summerset Isles are the safest, I've always imagined the landscape being idylic, but various dangerous magical monsters roaming about.

Individually dangerous, I think Skyrim's dragons surpass anything Valenwood has.

Obviously, you and I have had very different experiences in skyrim
But on a serious note, it's not as though Dragons are indeginous to Skyrim, or even exist there under normal circumstances. The fight between Wild Hunt and Dragons would be interesting, and eventually won by the Dragon, but before the time of TESV, there were no dragons in Skrim, and after TESV, dragons are no longer exclusive to Skryim. Wild Hunt, Bull Netch, Poison Swamp Beasts, intelligent horse-sized tigers, and the things depicted in the tapestries that once hung from Crystal-Like-Law are all far more threatening than Mammoths, imho.

However, if we qualify Giants as monsters, I suppose Skryim definitely deserves a spot in the top 3. However, I'd personally classify them as non-threatening aboriginal peoples.

The AD took Valenwood mostly through politics. Also, you don't need to fight every living thing in a province in order to have control of it. The Thalmor probably never fought the WH.
