Yes, there are two. The Infernal City and Lord of Souls. They document the 200 years after the Oblivion Crisis leading up to Skyrim.

Bethesda didn't officially release a novel, but there is a fan-fiction related novel out there set a few years after Oblivion. I did here that is was released with pre-orders.

Can't exactly remember the name or author, but if you check UESPWiki... should point you in the right direction.

I heard a lot of controversy about the Infernal City. I heard it was because of either conflicting canon, or it did something so drastic.

Cheers people. Not big on fan fiction and i should have mentioned that in my rather barren OP.

I was hoping for some canon.

Are they actually any good?

Infernal City and Lord of Souls aren't fan fiction. They're considered part of the official canon by Bethesda.

@Shooby: I'm about a third of the way through the first book and it's pretty good, but there are parts of it that don't really seem like they follow the rules of the unvierse that Bethesda set up in the games, and were just shoe-horned in by the author. I think I remember reading that the author didn't know much about the games before he was asked to write the novels, so that may be why. Still not a bad book so far, though.

They are canon. If your a big TES fan you may enjoy them. For anyone who isn't a TES fan you probably won't.

Yeah I don't know why people are saying it's fan fiction, I've heard it's canon
Spoiler
And I've heard certain references in-game to a "flying island" that sounded like Umbriel

Oh, cool. Such is the downfall of wiki's, can't always depend on user generated "facts".

I'd read it, but I'm pretty sure the whole book has been ruined for me.

I'm reading the first book now, and I already know a lot about what happens, but it's still turning out to be a pretty good book regardless. I'd recommend checking it out.

People only call it

It did not conflict with canon. And people only call it fanfiction and the like because...
Spoiler
It mentions that the Ministry of Truth fell, Red Mountain exploded, and Argonians kicked the Dunmer's butts. A lot of people got upset about that due to the Dunmer having some very radical fanatics.
