On the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Redguard, namely the section on the nomadic tribesmen of Alik'r, they mention a bunch of major deities who I have never heard of. Are these just different names for the Nine Divines? Also, does anyone know if there is any more lore on these nomads? I couldn't find any.

First off, don't use UESP as a primary source, unless you're referencing a primary source. Second, http://www.imperial-library.info/content/varieties-faith-empire is going to be your best source, under the header "Yokuda."

Even then, pretty sure that list is incomplete, but it's the best there is, so far.

Thanks, but now I'm even more confused. That link mentions that Alduin is a Nordic variation of Akatosh, who only vaguely resembles his 'counterpart', though ingame Alduin is Akatosh's firstborn. It also mentions that Auri-El is the Elven Akatosh. What the hell does that even mean? Are they the same God or not? How many variations on Akatosh can there be? Also, Satakal is supposedly the God of Everything. Wouldn't that make him the chief of all Gods? Or is he really the God of Everything in Yokuda?

Utterly baffled by TES theology. It doesn't help matters that different sites seem to have wholly different interpretations of the lore.

This was written before Skryim. Even still, you assume the dragons are not assuming you're a moronic mortal with no hopes of ever understanding anything they'll say, so they're telling you information at a megaly dumbed down way.

Also, the Religion of the Nine is a political invension, as seen in http://www.imperial-library.info/search/node/Shezarr%20and%20the%20Divines.

Also when looking at the pantheons, the gods are seen through the eyes of mortals. To the mer, Aka is Auri-El, and is anti-Mundus. To the Cyrodiils, Aka is Akatosh, and is pro-Mundus. To the nords, time is the enemy, in the form of Alduin, who is better to be said that father = aspect. Similarly with the case with Shor/Shezarr/Lorkhan, who are the same person, told at a different perspective.

The Ra'ga have by far the best Pantehon in my opinion.

I think you're thinking of the god of Nobody Really Cares, but that was before Mundus was created, so people care now.

They have a god for everything. Gods of the sands, of the fireplace, of the shoemaker, of the shoe, of the unknown ways of war, of the known ways of war, even of the unmade ways of war. The Redguards have so many gods that they have a god of 'we have too many gods'.
