Again. Altmer. Though I recall something about them having blueish or slightly transparent/reflective skin? I don't know. These could've both gone into one thread.

There's a bit about them in http://imperial-library.info/content/wolf-queen:

The men aboard were not merely pale, they were entirely colorless, as if their flesh were made of some white limpid jelly, but she had been forewarned. At the arrival of the King and his translator, she looked directly into their blank eyes and offered her hand. The King made noises.

They're described as having "chamelon-like" skin in the first PGE. Don't know if there's anything on height, clothes, etc.

Summary. Don't bother with summaries. Stick to the books, which is where any information will be known. Currently, only Wolf Queen and, if I remember right, The Pocket Guide to the Empire, first edition, are the only sources.

Considering that Nords are based loosely on Nordic people / Norse and Bretons are loosely based on Breton / Briton people, I am expecting the Maormer to be loosely based on Moari of New Zealand. The fact being that the name is "Maor - mer" which is exactly like "Maor- i".

Both are known as the ocean people of their planet and both are known as the tropical people of their planet. The Maori are a branch of Polynesian people. Polynesia is the tropical islands of the south Pacific Ocean and is also geographically know as Oceania. Maori lore is that they came on the back of a whale. Maormer lore is uncannily the same but a turtle instead of a whale.

I'm sure most think of somewhere like Hawaii when thinking tropical. Hawaii which is owned by the USA is also a Polynesian island. The native Hawaiians are a branch Polynesian just thousands of miles removed from the Maori.

I'd like to see a race of mer resembling the Maori as the Maori are cool looking dudes. Appearance wise they are Mongoloid (Chinesy) and are stocky build and have a history as ferocious warriors who ride in small raft type boats.

As many of the TES races incorporate influences from multiple real-world races, I would so uch love it, though I know it'll never happen, if Japanese influences were combined into the higher classes of the Maormer as this would be cool to me. Little wooden huts for the tropical island's villages ranging up to Japanese style buildings for the main city. Japan is also an island in the pacific so they would be too removed. The Japanese did try to take possession of the Polynesian islands during WWII to be a part of Japanese territory. The lore could kinda fit as the Orcish armor in Morrowind which looks like Samurai armor was apparently based on a High Elven design. Maybe this was not Altmer but rather Maormer who were in Summerset Isles at the time. Just my idea but it'll never happen, lol

Hey I think you're on to something with maormer and the Maori. As far as japanese influence goes. Idk. I think it's good but it'd have to be from like a different era than the kind of influence brought in with the akaviri, blades, and the Dunmer. Well scratch the Dunmer. They have this conglomerate of feudal Japan, Ancient egypt, and assyrian, and alien where it sort of dilutes itself.
