[WIPz] -Brand New Dungeon Tilesets-

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 9:17 pm

As I have two tileset projects in the works (not to mention the reproduction of the Oblivion Aylied ruins I started) and more plans in store, I thought it would be best to make a single topic for all of my architectural endeavors.

------------------------------------------

Some of you might remember my sewer tileset from a few months back. The past few days I have restarted work on it and completely rebuilt it from scratch using some of the modeling techniques I have learned in the interim. The set should be comparable to Oblivion style tilesets in terms of detail and versatility; a definite upgrade over the simple hallways of Morrowind. It will feature animated levers and gates and perhaps other surprises.

A reminder of what the old version looked like:

And a few shots of some some meshes that are good enough not to need a second version:

===============

Once the set is complete, I will release as a modder's resource, but I hope to create a series of dungeon mods at some point in the future. Work has begun on a Dwemer tileset and I plan to make a new set of Daedric ruins, based on temples like Ankor Wat.

Great work, really liking these! The originals have a slightly more claustrophobic feel to them that seems missing in the updated versions.

Glad you like. They look less clausterphobic for good reason- they are a bit larger. The added detail takes up most of that extra space though. I havent yet made the small room parts (again), what you see here is the 'standard' size. There will also be pipes you can walk inside of.

I've said it before, but these tilesets are looking great. I can't wait to see the final result!

I thought you might be hanging around under a different name. I was right.

Good stuff though. The sewer textures are a bit too saturated for my tastes.

You might actually be right about that, the color looks just a bit too much. Ill try it.

I like vivid colours in my textures. If you change them, could you please send me a pic or two first, Warmaster?
