Warnings.txt Help

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 6:25 pm

Up till now I have just been adding mods, now I'm getting all these warnings.
Is it time to run some utility to change the load order or merge something?
It's loading "more better clothes" before "Better Clothes" Could that cause all these shoes problems?

The Better Clothes warnings are harmless as are the 2 final texture warnings. I think there is a fix for the clothes if it really bothers you, but I'm not sure where you'd find it. maybe someone who knows will chime in.

The Parasol meshes are a problem, which will be apparent if you go to the ascadian isles. Not sure how that happened, since they are stored in the Morrowind bsa... Do you have a mod that changes the mushrooms? That could be the issue.

The BC rock texture probably won't be an issue, but if you start the game and see a bunch of white rocks, than I am wrong.

The issue with BC_whatever is nothing to worry about. The missing mesh is another issue.

Did you recently install a mod that changes those?

EDIT: Spiffyman got there first!

Hrm. I recognize those meshes. Are you using Vality's Ascadian Isles?

I took out Vality's ascadian isles addon & that took care of the Parasol meshes
But now I have different warnings

Not able to find Foot part in BC_shoes_common_1.
Not able to find Foot part in BC_shoes_common_5.
Not able to find Foot part in BC_shoes_extrav_2_f.
Not able to find Foot part in BC_shoes_common_4.

Not able to find Foot part in BC_shoes_common_1.
Not able to find Foot part in BC_shoes_common_1.
Not able to find Foot part in BC_shoes_common_03.
Script fl_kr_load_script
Trying to RunFunction index greater than function count
The script will not run anymore.
Not able to find Foot part in BC_shoes_common_1.
Music file not found: data files/music/Morrowind Explore 4.mp3
Script BTB_Main_Battle
Trying to RunFunction index greater than function count
The script will not run anymore.
Texture "Textures\_land_default.tga" count 3.
Texture "Textures\menu_thick_border_bottom_right_corner.dds" count 2.

I think I'll just do a clean install of the vanilla game & see if I like playing it before I have another go at the mod minefield.

These usually mean you're running a mod that requires the Morrowind Script Extender (MWSE), but you're not running the MWSE stand alone, MGE, or MGE XE with the internal version of MWSE active. If you aren't running any MWSE mods or if you do have MWSE active, try reinstalling your mods.

As for this:

Music file not found: data files/music/Morrowind Explore 4.mp3
It just means that a script is calling one of the default explore tunes but you've deleted or renamed them. Just rename one of your explore tunes to that file name and that error will go away.

Thanks for the replies,
After a complete reinstall & a bit of sorting out with WryeMash everything is working nicely & looking good.
The better clothes patch just changed one list of errors for another, but I got it sorted.
I now only have two entries in my Warning.txt. I'm not worried about them, but if anyone knows how to avoid them, let me know.

Texture "Textures\_land_default.tga" count 3.
Texture "Textures\menu_thick_border_bottom_right_corner.dds" count 2.

My only problems now stem from not knowing how to play the game.

Those errors mean that the same file appears in more than one place. Those particular files are found in more than one of the three official BSAs, Morrowind, Tribunal, and Bloodmoon. Nothing wrong with them.
