Looking for (exquisite) robes

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 8:29 am

Hey,

I′m looking for a mod that adds robes to the game, exquisite preferred due to enchanting and NPC reaction(I think?!).
I′m running MGSO and the only ex. robe I′ve seen so far is the original one with better textures. However, I still don′t think that robe looks good. Is there a mod which adds high quality robes to the game?

Didn′t really find something with google.

Also I looked in the CS and indeed there is only one exquisite robe. Some more are extravagant but still not that many.
Does somebody know what it is that makes NPC reaction better? The price? The enchantment points? I dont see any slider for quality there so that can′t be it?!

CanadianIce has some http://canadianice.moddersrealm.com/clothing.html, you need to sign up to download IIRC.

There also http://canadianice.moddersrealm.com/RobeReplacer.html I think that the "PLUS" esp adds new robes.

I don't have notes handy about who authored them, but the titles of clothing mods I've used from time to time are: Antares Clerical Robes, better clothes, eyren robes, more exquisite clothes, more better clothes, unique finery replacer, and Westly presents FCOT. IIRC they include more than just robes and may have jewelry.

I believe the price is what determines NPC reaction. I am not positive, but I believe that is universally the case with all clothes (and armor?). If you push the value up to 100 or so, you get the best reaction. When it comes to enchanting, you can increase the amount any robe (or any piece of clothing or armor, for that matter) can be enchanted just by changing the number in the Enchantment box. It's at the bottom of the entry in the CS; just look straight down from the ID. Exquisite robes have an enchant of 400, although you can go much higher, if you want.

In other words, if you find a robe or piece of clothing you like from a mod, you can quickly and easily change the Enchantment and Value numbers and make it equivilant to an exquisite robe.

I like the overall look of HurdyGurdy's robes, but somehow I get the feeling they make females look thinner than they should be. The male versions look great though.
