Dragons appearing elsewhere.

I hope this is the right area for this, but as we all, hopefully, know the dragons have come back to Skyrim. My question is, will the dragons just stay in Skyrim to be killed off or to hide away from people or will they spread all over Tamriel again?

I don't know if dragons appear in Elsweyr.

I'm sure they'll make an appearance sometime in the future. Bethesda didn't spend months getting the animation and AI right just for one game.

Skyrim is always the first to be eaten by Alduin. Since he failed to do that, the rest of the Nirn was probably spared.

I thought there was at least a single dragon in Morrowind before the events of the dragonborn.

There should be dragons everywhere. You can't restrict things that fly to a single area without a cage. And you would need one big-ass cage.

Their primary interest was Skyrim, seeing as Alduin failed I'd imagine the surviving dragons will just spread out and go on a sight seeing tour.

And there was one in Redguard as well (Naarfargulus or something like that). Dragons have been around after the Dragon Wars under the protection of the Empire. But they were so few in numbers that they were pretty much unknown. The Dragon's in Skyrim are Alduin's army and they always start with Skyrim when they end the Kalpa.

@Fishy: Then there's Paarthurnax who wants them to control their dominating nature.

If Paarthy stops them from seeing the sights then he's a real ass...

Still Paarth could be dead and it's unlikely that every dragon will listen to him

Well, maybe there were, but they concentrated on where the Dovakhiin was. Seeing as he was the only one who could kill them, once he was out of the way they could defeat the rest of Nirn. It would also make sense as to why the first place attacked was Helgen, and why non-scripted dragons only land around you.
