Skyrim plot in ealier games

I was reading through the Pocket Guide to the Empire 1st Edition, and noticed two things: The Thu'um, which is the name for the Shouts, is mentioned under the Skyrim section, and the Thalmor/Aldmeri Dominion is listed under its own section. I'm not sure how canon that is, seeing as it mentions a College for the Thu'um (that either no longer exists or was not actually canon). It does however mention the Greybeards and that they taught Talos how to use the shouts.

It's true. The Thu'um has been around for a very, very long time. The Aldmeri dominion was around back then as well, they were just defeated by Tiber Septim later on and were forced into his empire. I have no idea what happened to that school though, I imagine it went bankrupt or something.

Markarth's College of the Voice was notorious for having a student body composed of the untalented younger sons of minor nobility looking to gain the Emperor's favor. I imagine its graduation-on-time rate wasn't exactly stellar.

The School was disbanded due to how volatile the Thu'um was. You know Engrish? Apply that to Dragon Language and wanton destruction would be caused.
