I have to ask, how exactly would a pacifist character be able to get through the game?
That said, I dont think I have heard of any mods that allow this to begin with.

If you worked at it, you could probably make it quite a long way, though a lot of quests would be impossible. A lot of stealing would probably be in order, and invisibility and chameleon would probably be necessities. Drain fatigue might get you through a few quests without having to kill as well.

Yea, thats my point, its impossible to get through because you have to fight, even just for self defense.

Well, if by "get through" you mean "finish all of the quests" then it is impossible, but playing the game and levelling up? Not impossible, just difficult. Running and invisibility can work wonders before you can make yourself a full constant effect chameleon suit - I wasn't a pacifist, but on the XBox I did a lot of running through high level dungeons at low levels. *chuckle*

I made one for myself, called it "Unbloody MW". Quests I changed:

- Killing Gothren (now I let him study on and will be named archmagister nevertheless)
- Small quests for the both Sanguine Items in peaceful hands (to be traded against other item and information)
- Auriels Bow (traded against another very special bow I placed ingame and forgot where)

The game still leaves the choice for ma: Killing anyone of those still finishes the quests.

These are just inspirations, I cannot give you this mod because I play a german game.

bummer that its in german, that sounds awesome! I think I may have to do something similar for myself, because searches turned up nothing so far.

as far as having to kill for self defense, I have two choices: I can use the calm humanoid/creature spells or I can run. a bunch of quests are indeed impossible now, thus me looking for mods to add alternate ways to finish quests. most quests I've encountered so far that require killing, wouldn't be unrealistic if someone with a high enough speechcraft were able to talk to both sides and convince them murder isn't necessary (I watch too much Rurouni Kenshin). from what I've read though you can still get pretty far throughout vanilla morrowind without having to break pacifism.

Passive healthy wildlife will make all healthy animals normal and only diseased and blighted creatures will be suicidal maniacs.

Yeah right, I use that too.

I made a list of quests that require murder. Every faction has at least one (even the cult) but they should be quite easily to manage so that at least two or more factions should be playable for a pacifism char. I think such one wouldn't join the fighter's guild or Morag Tong like a pacifist would not join the army

Okay here we go:

Hlaalu: 4 of 31 (1 optional that you can talk out so it's: 3)
Redoran: 5 of 36
Telvanni: 9 of 29
Fighter: 21 of 31 (2 optional: 19)
Thief: 2 of 30 (1 is same as Morag Tong)
Mage: 4 of 31 (2 optional: 2)
Cult: 1 of 25
Temple: 3 of 24
Legion: 6 of 19
Morag Tong: well... 21 of 24
MQ: 5 of 20 (but only 3 are humans)

The game already gives you opportunities to talk you out and stay "good" so it would not even break the immersion (at least not for me).

I would welcome a mod like that and if not as big as ROHT or To serve Sithis I would try to translate it for the German Comm.
