The last known Septim

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 9:44 am

There is only one known Septim left...The Septim Tiber himself.

Is it possible he returns to reunite his Empire and to stop the Thalmor assault on his divinity?

I have seen a lot of posts saying that something huge will be needed to stop the Thalmor.A pissed off god emporer would do the trick.

I doubt Talos will interfere. He loves himself after all. Why would he attack himself?

Is this in reference to chim?
If Talos is all chimmed up then the Thalmor plan to remove him from possiblity has no chance from what I understand of chim.
If not please explain

In many ways I doubt the divinity of Talos anyway. I don't think he could interfere with mortals live very much even if he wanted to.

I think he probably died, went to Sovngard, and was unanimously elected a leader of the nords there. But in reality, he's barely powerful enough to maintain his "god" status.

He doesn't for the same reason Vivec doesn't. Do you proclaim your right hand as better than your left and cut it off? You're only harming yourself. CHIM users are by nature egomaniacal and selfish. You pretty much have to be if you don't want to zero-sum. But since the whole world happens to be themself they love it because it is also them.

Not where I wanted to go with this.I was just wondering if there was any metaphysical reason for Tiber not being able to come back.

Since we are here.
What lore forum lore trumps what?
Can the Thalmor dechim Tiber or is the whole erase man from possibilty trumped by chim?

No need for metaphysics; Tiber's dead.

For the same reason Vivec [censored] Azura in the Trial.

At that point in time Vivec was mortal. Gods don't interact with the world like regular beings do. In fact I'd go so far as to say that they can't even if they wanted to.

Yes he did.

"'You have suffered for me to win this throne, and I see how you hate jungle. Let me show you the power of Talos Stormcrown, born of the North, where my breath is long winter. I breathe now, in royalty, and reshape this land which is mine. I do this for you, Red Legions, for I love you.'"

An excerpt aken from 'From the Many-Head Talos', a MK text which was quoted by Heimskr (at least this part, which is the second part) in-game. He used CHIM to turn Cyrodiil from a jungle to a generally grassy plains/forest land. More of an example of developer weaseling, but it's still there.
