Mod related bug: NPC's making creature sounds

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 4:25 am

So I ran into this odd bug when I updated one of my personal mods;

NPC's idle, hit and attack sounds were replaced with creature sounds such as the Sphere Centurion and Dremora. Their voiced greetings are still the same. I didn't change any of these files in my mod, so I'm not sure why it's happening.

Anyone got an idea what happend?

Nope, I did change some sound files, but none were related to creature sounds or NPC voices.

I wish I could help you, then maybe I could figure out why my chickens roar like lions.

Are the sounds actually changed in the mod? I've seen the CS do some weird stuff trying to accommodate changes and, more specifically deletions, when there are unknown dependencies.

I'll go through my sound list and folders again to check if everything is still in place. But as far as I know the NPC spoken lines are not even in the sound list of the Construction Set.

Looks like I fixed it. :biggrin:

Some hit/attack dialogue lines of a Dremora and Dwemer race I deleted were causing this. Because I deleted those races, the dialogue lines got their racial conditions removed, which is why every NPC in the game used it.
