So foolish you deem them, locked into existence, holding that which is into full view. So weak you deem them, that they may know death and be finite. why do you covet them so, so aware are you of your infinite flaw... Are you so weak? you mask your fear upon the new dawns break with coy and snide and yet tremble upon the unfurrow of the dreamers brow. of pain of writhing of death came creation and from the very moment of its glory you were enthralled...

With every moment you tire of yourselves, your machinations, your existence...had it not been for the "fools" where would you be now? yes even you bow to those so fickle and meager. you are like children, their meager flicker lives throw you into a stupor, you amuse easily and bore just as quickly moving off to the next plaything that suites your fancy. you call yourselves the better, and yet fear the very waters you wade in. you take what you cannot possess, and barely appreciate once its in your possession. You have changed so much since the first strokes, it is a crippling irony, the beings of change and yet... you are infinite, static, unless acted on by those lesser than you while your brothers and sisters beings of stasis, finite possesss all that makes you.....you.....

You have changed...so much...

They are dear not for their power, apparent or not, but for their ideals. Would we have love, if not for Mara? Would we have birth, if not for Arkay? Maybe. But the idea of them makes it so much more comfortable for mortals. They waning power does not diminish what they stand for.
