On What planet does Tamriel exist?

lol

I think some people around here want to burn people at the stake for suggesting such a thing. I've had one guy INSIST that everything written in books was literally exactly correct - for no good reason. And in fact, they can't be all correct. As I said, there's a book that will claim Alduin is Akatosh, and a book that says he isn't.

Yes they can. especially the mutually exclusive stuff. When Time is a living thing it can get bendy, and that's where the fun starts. But the fact that Alduin is his own son isn't the issue here.

Tamriel is a continent on Nirn, which is in Oblivion. Stars are holes in Oblivion leading to Aetherius, where the magic comes from.

Oh, and Nirn is made of body parts, and Tamriel is a wheel metaphor made into matter as well as a continent.

As an author I am a complete novice. Although I am making a concerted effort to accomplish my back story. Whether it means anything or not I studied under Dr. Wm. Glasser when I was in college, back in the 70's. And, while I am trying to keep the story lore friendly it won't be 100%.

It never is. If it were, then it wouldn't grow stylistically. I once read a fanfiction where the Aedra were sufficiently advanced aliens who became the earthbones because they were killed by space bugs. Thing is, the story was still damn good, lore wonkiness be damned. So do as you like, but rules are there to make you think before you break them.

You know the best part about this, I am enjoying the heck out of it. I will be 65 on the 22nd for what that's worth. However, I probably won't be able to upload the story for anyone to read here, because of censorship. But there is always Nexus.

And i have my doubts that the moons are a corpse of a god, and stars holes to Aetherius  I mean, Earth was flat only few hundreds year ago :hehe:

For what it's worth (and to be overly pedantic :P), the greeks http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spherical_Earth the roundness of the earth well before the renaissance.

Which isn't to say that you should believe every bit of ES lore provided to you, of course.
