My character is part of the Resistance, I major as an Operative and I also have a few abilities on the Engineer (turrets and gear head) depending on the objective, so Im flexible in that regard. At the moment i am lvl 16

And why can't I play multiplayer on the Everyone setting (if I put it in this setting, it seems like Im the only person on the planet who plays Brink, and im stuck with AI), do we really have to play multiplayer by Inviting people?

Try playing "Big game" mode. I played for about 2 hours of pure 8v8 with all random humans. Maybe I was just lucky though.
