Numidium, Akulakhan, and Lorkhan.

Okay, I am a bit confused on the Numidium thingy. So a 'Numidium' is a giant robot that many people have used in their conquests, Which was powered by Lorkhan's heart. Lorkhan was the creator of Mundus. Lorkhan's heart was thrown to the Mundus and landed in Vvardenfell, creating the Red Mountian. Akulakhan was the 2nd Numidium. Were both powered by Lorkhan's Heart? And the dwarves tapped into said heart with Kagrenac's Tools? Which is rumored to be the cause of their disappearance. I read something that says that the dwarves were the 'Golden Skin' of the Numidium. were they literally the skin? If so, was that apart of their plan to raise themselves higher?

Also, http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Anumidum says that the Numidium was owned by Tiber Septim; was this before, or after it was destroyed in 'Morrowind'? I don't see how it was used, if it was destroyed.

Please assist :P

After. The Numidium was destroyed in the early 1st Era. Near the end of the 2nd Era, Tiber Septim began purchasing pieces of it from Vivec with the hope of reassembling it. For more info on it, I'd check out http://www.imperial-library.info/content/arcturian-heresy.

Numidium: A giant robot created by the Dwemer, under the supervision of Kagrenac. It was designed to use the heart of Lorkhan, but never got a chance to do so. As part of the Armistice that made Morrowind part of Tiber Septim's Empire, the Numidium was given to Tiber Septim. Tiber Septim used an object known as the "Mantella" to power Numidium, but his Mantella was not quite Lorkhan's heart. You can read about it in "The Arcturian Heresy." Numidium is eventually knocked out of commission by the Underking, until it resurfaces in the Illiac bay region during the events of "Daggerfall." It's activation at the end of Daggerfall directly causes the Warp of the West, whereupon it is destroyed yet again.

Akulakhan: Dagoth Ur's so-called "second Numidium." An imitation of the original Numidium, Akulakhan was never completed, but if it had been, Dagoth Ur would have had the Heart of Lorkhan at his disposal to power it.

Okay so Akulakhan came after Tiber Septim's Numidium. Akulakhan was powered by Lorkhan's Heart. the Numidium of Tiber's was not. Got it.

Well, it was SUPPOSED to be powered by the heart. However, it was never completed, and was still being built when the Nerevarine fought and defeated Dagoth Ur.

Basically, it goes like this:
*Dwarves find Heart of Lorkhan
*Dwarves attempt to use Heart of Lorkhan to power an artificial god, Numidium
*Dwarves give themselves up, body and soul, to create Numidium, but for some unknown reason it remains inert
*Dagoth Ur, while sleeping, learns how to make Numidium
*The Dunmer give Tiber Septim the Numidium as a sign of peace
*Tiber Septim uses the soul of an incarnation of Lorkhan (stored in a soul gem known as the Mantella) to act as a proxy to power it
*Underking destroys Numidium by blasting the Mantella into Aetherius, and the Blades are sent to find the pieces
*Dagoth Ur creates a replica of Numidium, Akulakhan, with the intent to use the Heart to power it.
*The Numidium is reconstructed and the Mantella is found. Used by many kings at once, it breaks time in the Warp in the West, then self-destructs after conquering all of the Illiac Bay.
*The Nerevarine destroys the enchantments the Dwemer used to control the Heart of Lorkhan, and thus destroys Akulakhan.
